A busy night but very good service. Huge and very tasty portions. Tried the mixed and lamb iskenders and the yummy grilled haloumi and chicken on flatbread.

Service was terrible. The man working the counter on Monday evening was unfriendly and not at all helpful. They had no vegetarian option for the iskenders, gave us no choice in sauces, and the food was bland.
Cafe Anatolia just around the corner from Kilim is friendlier, and the menu is far superior. Give Kilim a miss and try Anatolia.

I love this place so much I signed uphere to write a quick review. They are the friendliest, most helpful people (unlike the other turkish restaurant in town who cannot even seem to give you a smile whilst taking your money) Their kebabs are really fresh, absolutely delicious, and value for money. You can sit in the lovely sunny courtyard, and not have to sit in the street to eat your lunch! and it’s a great area for kids. I never waste my money anywhere else when I get a perfect, delicious meal here everytime :) Keep up the good work guys :)

My partner and I had arrived in Napier on a Friday evening just before 5pm.
Strangely we could not find one restaurant that was open at that hour. Then we found Kilim Cafe.

Kilim had a really nice Middle Eastern theme going all around the interior. It felt very open. And even with all their authentic products displayed on the side of the cafe, it didn’t feel cluttered.
There were standard tables, and there was also a platform with short legged tables where the customers would sit on the platform.

The menu was simple and impressive. The ordering worked like a cafe. It was hassle-free and casual.
The food was amazing. It looked like a platter of a bit of everything they had. We wiped the plate off clean, and left feeling very satisfied.
The staff are friendly, but you don’t get to interact with them very much as it is all self-service.

Wow these guys have got it. Authentic cuisine, great service and lovely food. There was a group of 14 and we sat on the floor with the little table and cushions and it was a great night. We liked it that much we are taking our staff there for dinner.Well done guys you rock and the best thing is bring your own and no cork age, fabulous. Catering for 14 people wasn’t a problem for them, service was efficient and friendly.Keep up the good work, we wish you well.

This Turkish restaurant has become a regular. Their kebabs are generously sized, which is great for big eaters, and there are a variety of fillings to choose from including mixed grill and falafels for vegetarians. Prices are reasonable for the quality and size, and I’ve enjoyed my meals all but once when my chicken was slightly overcooked. However, I felt that this transgression could be overlooked considering their overall efforts to date.

We have switched from grabbing a quick take-away to eating in as the interior deceptively houses a surprisingly roomy dining area, with rustic wooden tables and scatter cushions. Combined with fast and friendly service, and Arabic music playing in the background it makes for a relaxing & enjoyable experience.
