KORU is located 30mins north of Thames, set in the midst of the Coromandel Forest Park set in very tranquil and natural surroundings.
Named after a very young fern frond, in its youngest spiral form, as it represents tranquility and new beginnings.
We offer a menu which is comprised of quality homebaked, homemade, homegrown and locally sourced produce.
In the morning enjoy a freshly baked scones with lashing of boysenberry jam and whipped cream, or one of our homebaked cakes, served with a ‘dam’ good coffee or an organic tea.
For lunch our standard menu presents a selection of Bruschetta, Pizza, toasted sandwiches, a tasty lamburger and a hearty homemade soup which we served with homebaked beer bread. Additional to this we have our ‘Signature dishes’ such as ‘Steamed Coromandel Mussels’, ‘Panfried Hauraki Flounder’ and our ‘Light-weight or Serious Steak Sandwiches’. Then, on the weekend ‘the cook’
russells up some ‘International specials’ such as Indonesian Chicken Satay or Indian Chicken Tikka to name a few.
