For me it’s like a fast-food restaruant dressed up a bit and trying to be what Pizza Hut used to be..but not really getting that right either. I’ve had the spaghetti bolognaise and the pizza and while they were fine, nothing special they try to rush you, it’s extremely noisy and it’s like you are eating in an office.

La Porchetta in Henderson have friendly service & have always got my order perfect! Like any popular restaurant they are exceptionally busy during the peak times, however it’s worth the wait! There is a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere suitable for the whole family. The pizza & pasta is absolute value for money! Size, taste & quality is fantastic! We frequent take away from the Henderson store and have booked a table on a few occasions and have never left feeling unhappy or ripped off as the pricing of their menu is very competitive. I highly recommend booking a table, with a licensed bar & delicious food with close friends and family – you really cannot go wrong!

Just came home from La Porchetta Lincoln Road Henderson.
1 word, Excellent. Both my wife and myself thought the food, service and the price was well worth going out on a wet and windy Auckland evening. I had read some of the reviews and was a little apprehensive but all i can say is that either those folk that were not happy struck them on a poor night or they are fussy and don’t know what a family restaurant is like. We had a full meal and a bottle of house wine and were pleasantly surprised by the cost.
So as far as we are concerned, as Arnie once said, WE’LL BE BACK!!!!!

LOL… This is just Pizza-hut with a different name. Pizza here is JUST like Pizza-hut but more expensive. I’m told the pasta is good, but didn’t try it. Its an ok place for a quick family meal, but nothing flash. Almost didn’t bother writing a review… forgettable really.

Pleasant evening. Food was good. Plenty of it. Only criticism we felt it was too noisy. Needed softer Ceiling tiles to absorb some of the noise

After having visited all the other branches of this franchise in Auckland i was really excited to learn that there was a new one opening right up the road from us. Awesome, saves the hassle of parking in town right? WRONG…I would have been better off driving to where i alteast got what i paid for. i ordered the same dish i usually do, only to find it came out half the size it does in town,or parnell. the chicken was pretty lack lustre and the pasta, very plain. Was dissapointed after suggesting the place to a family friend for lunch and having that reccomendation fall flat on its a$$. Will just stick to the ones i know from now on.

went here for a family birthday. service was great but the food was, oh soooo good. not just pizza, they have pasta dishes, meat and veg dishes like weiner schnitzel. i had the schnitzel and it was divine. their deserts look ravishing but i was so full i couldnt fit one in. next time i thiknk i will skip the main and just have the desert! you gotta try la porchetta. there are other branches in auckland but i havent tried them.

not that impressed…the pizza was good, the chicken fettachini was bland and the calamari was over cooked. Dont know if I will try them again at this stage.

Everytime we have gone the food and staff have been amazing.
We were offered a different table as our food didn’t fit on the one we had.

They are affordable and very friendly and understanding.
I recommend to all 5+

i dont know what some of you are saying?? this is a GREAT restaurant at first when they started off service was a little bit shaky but its great now since everyone is really getting used to the system!! the food is great we get all our food at the same time!! the staff are really friendly as well! definitely easy on the pocket and its AMAZING. go.

As me and my friends entered they were full and we had to wait. We were glad to wait because the food impressed me with its affordable price and large portions. Not only were the ingredients used in th food fresh, all our meals came out at the same time! The service was good with nice, friendly, smiley waiters/waitresses. Would definitely recommend to friends(my favourite was the chicken satay pizza).

Been to La Porchetta 5 times since they opened and always walked away satisfied. A tired old part of Lincoln Road which had its day in the early 90s has a new lease of life. The only casual dining that compares is Lone Star, similar charged atmosphere and switched on staff(who while prepared to go out of their way for awkward customers are not gimps). Reminded me of Aussie actually were business’ seem to have a bit more attitude. People expect too much but lets look at the price range of average $15 meal we are doing quite well. Garlic bread was not so good, needs more garlic and crispiness.The pizza is very good, fresh and the edges are nice, no stodgey dough. The pasta I tried last night good also, although for any meal I recommend entree size for main, and there is always dessert. I wouldn’t recommend the plain cheese and tomato style pizza just a bit too gluggy but load those ingredients on and the pizza is among the best in that price range(FRESH). Nice to see a restaurant with a lot of staff on too. Apart from a few minor things not relating to the food or day to day business(finish quality of building) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, if you want arty ego massage service and big tables try Parnell.

Although the food was great, the service up to a good standard and the place looking beautiful, it was not a family friendly restaurant, the table are too thin to fit the food as well as your plate and glasses, their are no changing tables in the bathroom and the music was. This may sound like little minuscule things, but when it has been advertised on t.v that it is a family environment, you come to expect that in all facets of the restaurant.

extremely poor service, ignored by staff, only took order when complained, chips arrived promptly but waited 20 mins for food -to be told they lost our order. did give us a coke and oj, and the ‘missing pizza for free but food was appaling and no meat in the bolognase!!!!!. would not go back and will tell all my friends not to go there either

had a reservation for 4. when we first arrived, within a space of 20 minutes we were asked probably half a dozen times if we wanted to order – we were talking and mulling over the menu so no we weren’t ready. after about half an hour we decided we would order. 2 meals came out first, about 5 minutes after those the 3rd came – but we were still waiting for the 4th meal 20 minutes after the others had been served. when the meal eventually arrived, it was returned because the ‘king prawns’ were shrimps and buried in a mountain of fries and salad. a replacement meal was brought out about 15 minutes later. Poor, poor service.
On paying, they didn’t charge for the replacement meal – all in all it was disappointing.
Am trying a second time to see if it was just that night – will write again soon to let you all know

I cant wait for this new restaurant to open. I have been to all the others in Auckland and they all have the same great service and food and great value for money.
