I’ve been here to eat a few time and this place is highly recommended! the service was lovely and the food (my favourite, sweet and sour pork!) was delicious.
At first sight it might not be the flashiest restaurant out there but before you judge it on its appearance, you should sit down and grab a bite to eat first.
ps:dont be discouraged from eating there if it is a bit too crowded or too quiet, the staff are wonderful and will make you feel welcome

Food is Delicious and the staff is extremely friendly.
It can get a little uncomfortable when it is very busy but that is good for them, I guess.

Although not the flashiest looking restaurant, the food here is always good and the service is friendly. My favourite Chinese resaurant in Queenstown.
People say you can tell a good Asian restaurant by the number of Asians actually dining there, and considering we were the only non-Asians we took this as a good sign.
Lakeside is typical of Chinese restaurant decor, Asian cheese isn’t on the menu but you certainly see a lot of it decorating the walls – everything from a large framed collection of money from around the world, to an even larger framed collection of money on another wall.
Service was good, the woman behind the counter was incredibly friendly and this always helps. At least she understands the importance of customer service, as opposed to some other supposedly cool and trendy cafes [cough, cough VUDU, cough].
I had the wonton noodle soup for lunch and unfortunately found the noodles to look a bit dry. My guess is that they had been well and truly cooked beforehand and as a result of time, dried out. The soup itself tasted great – and I always enjoy the challenge of chopsticks. It wasn’t overly abundant with vegetables either, a few pieces of broccoli and slices of carrot was about it.
Whilst service was good, and the experience wasn’t torturous, the food on this occasion just wasn’t up to scratch in the scheme of things.

Food quality similar to what you’d get at a food court. Poor value for money considering the quality.
Poor ambience.
Great location.
