My wife and I visited this lovely restaurant in December 2009 for my wife’s 50th birthday. I have to say that the whole experience from the service, the atmosphere and the food was absolutely fabulous. What a great place to spend a special occasion, or any occasion for that matter. I would recommend the Laurels to anyone who appreciates good food and a friendly atmosphere.

This was probably the best Restaurant where we had and the best meal whilst visiting New Zealand! The atmosphere is classy, the service is very attentive without being over the top. The food was just great from the crab ravioli entree to the lamb main, which was cooked to perfection. The wine recommendation was superb and the blackberry dessert topped with Cassis liquor was to die for. If you go to Hanmer Springs you must not go past this gem of a Restaurant!!
