Have had many pleasant experiences at this restaurant. I go back over and over and often suggest Taste of Asia to others. The CURRY PUFFS are to die for, and the chicken sweet and sour soup for entree is amazing too. Service is always great. Food is always fresh and has so much depth in flavour. Great prices. Decor could be more authentic and a bit more welcoming.

Went on Sunday night of Labour Weekend in a group of 6 and had a disappointing experience. Service was average, we weren’t even asked if we would like to order drinks first before being asked for our food order. Overall the starters and mains looked average, however I ordered the Lamb Massaman curry and was so disappointed I sent it back and was not in the mood to order anything else. The curry was in a very thick starchy sauce (they told me maize flour was added – show me a recipe for Thai curry that has this ingredient?) and more tragically had frozen mixed veges in it (I was told ‘that was how they did it’). A very poor effort considering Thai curry is not difficult to make, fresh veges were in other curries they offered and also one of the owners is part Thai! No real apology or concern from the owners when I returned the food. An average place best avoided if you are looking for fresh authentic Thai.

Amazing food! We went in on a Wednesday evening and it was busy (which is a good sign that the food is good). Service was great and server very friendly. I had a vegetarian meal and was very full after leaving, which doesn’t always happen with vegetarian meals. Will definitely come again!!

Had a FABULOUS meal here Friday night. The food was absolutely delicious – extremely tasty and good portions. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the restaurant was buzzing – a sign of a good establishment.
Can’t wait to go back!

The food is fantastic, authentic and reasonably priced. The wine list is a pleasant surprise and authentic Asian beers are offered including the star of many a Vietnam war movie, beer Saigon (made from from rice). The service is relaxed, friendly and warm. A must do for any visitor and deservedly very popular with the locals. I don’t know what Andy L. is on about, my guess would be that he was likely unpleasantly drunk when he wrote his review and at the restaurant.

Took my wife & Mother-in-law out to Taste of Asia for Mother’s Day just gone and what a fantastic night it was.
The food was delicious as always, and pretty quick despite having a really full restaurant.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they took all of our questions & demands in their stride.
Would recommend to all diners looking for a great dining experience! Try the duck

Will never go there again !
Had been having a great evening with friends and decided to head out for some thai and great atmosphere. From the momment we walked in thoughts of great thai and service were squashed rather quickly. The owners daughter (who works there) did not even talk to us and was very rude when she did. When confronted she ran to daddy and he stuck up for her, himself had the worst manners also. The overall service was well below any comprehendable expected standard.
The staff did not seem to care about their service or resturant image. On leaving the father (resturant manager) got really aggressive, abusive and threatening.

I do not recommed you support such a rude business.

We will not eat here again!

Lovely, fresh and flavourful dinner. The menu selection is extensive and the service is very friendly as well as accommodating. A gem in the heart of the MT not to be missed. The staff was patient and delightful regardless that we stayed past closing; the dinning value and experience was spot on.

Like the previous commenter, i note the move. However, the small place they previously held added to the truly Asian feel. Mirroring well the stores throughout Vietnam. Food is great, service a little strange at times in its non existence, and the larger site can be somewhat cavernous and lacking in Asian authenticity. But well worth a visit when down town the mount

ATofA has moved into larger premises just down the street which is testament to the food.
Fresh vegetables and good flavours are in the dishes which feature a mix of Thail/Malay cooking.
