One Review for Le Tour De France Cafe

This is a little gem! The small entrance gives no hint of the lovely spacious dining room beyond, furnished in what I think could be called “French Provincial”style- in other words, it is like going into a comfortable family home only bigger. With carpet and a low, acoustically tiled ceiling, it is quieter than your average restaurant (a big plus for me). This is not “fine dining” in the sense that the furnishings are a bit cheap and cheerful, but the ambience is quite special. We had a baked cheesecake wedge each, and coffees. These could not be faulted, and I look forward to eating there again. The dining area would suit a a medium-sized private party and there is even a small “stage” for a band.
Outside, on the water’s edge (virtually) is a pleasant outdoor area which I can imagine would be gorgeous on a warm night. There is a very effective windbreak and you don’t feel surrounded by other commercial premises. Ample parking, and the proprietor is bi-lingual.
Plenty of French magazines and other memorabilia to provide intellectual stimulation too!
