Great food but the service was terrible! We sat at the table for about 25 minutes before being served and they kept forgetting our drink orders! Had been there nearly an hour before we got our food! Wouldn’t go back.

Went there as a group of 11,took 20 mins for someone to take drink orders,because we went up and asked for someone to come over, and then it took 25 mins for them to be delivered! and wouldn’t rate the food the best I have ever eaten, don’t plan on going back

I love Little India! It is a fantastic place to go and enjoy fabulous Indian food. I have taken big groups here on numerous occasions and the service and food has always been fantastic. If you want a great place to go with friends and enjoy BYO i say you can’t go past Little India.

no good service not that gd food as well.i have been in little india last week but i tell you service is so terrible,i order biryani and i didt get riata with it i have to ask the staff.my Friend order naan with his curry which didt come and they asked as to pay for it.

Worst Hotel and Staff on Planet.

I had Dinner with my Family there on 09-May-2011. Dinner, Staff and there services was awful.

I spent 70$ but still feel that 2.45$ Noodles was far better then that

The Mango Chicken was great, I ordered it Hot and it actually came out hot, a rarity in Dunedin Asian dining. We went with a large group and everyone really enjoyed their meals. Service was friendly and very good.

I love the new premises!! So much more space and the atmosphere is amazing. As usual the food was outstanding, I know there are cheaper Indian restaurants in Dunedin but I will happily pay more to have the perfect Chicken Tikka Masala and Mango Lassi. I’m also a big fan of Alex who must have the best memory for names and faces this side of the Bombay Hills as he seems to know EVERYONE who walks in that door. Great, personal service.

Not an Indian food connoisseur, but I have always found dishes at Little India to be tasty and attractively presented, and the service friendly (esp. the manager). When it’s busy food may be slow to arrive, but looking into the (glassed-in) kitchen, you can see the staff hard at work. The only hazard of dining there is large, loud family and hen parties.

We recently stayed in a central Dunedin motel and ordered in from Little India.
We regularly eat Indian food so my comments are based on many meals we have eaten here and overseas (including India). I have to say that the meal we received was without a doubt the worst we have ever had. Only half of our starters arrived, the delivery time was far in excess of the quoted hour and a quarter, the naans and roti were tough and inedible, the quality of the food was disappointing and the portions received were very small. A “never again” experience.

Heard some good things about LI before we went.Service was very poor.LI is very much into pumping diners through hence they hassle constantly from the moment you sit to order.Eventually had to tell to wait five minutes before we would be ready to order.Had to make our own trips to the bar for drinks.Never offered coffee or desserts.Entrees were overdone-never had a bone so burnt that it broke when picked up.The mains were nice.Lip service on asking how we enjoyed our meal at the end – not concerned or interested when told.A place more suited to take aways meals.

amazing curries and goes perfectly with the soothing mango lassi’s. delicious. service was good. food took an average time to come out but the restaurant was really full and you could see all the takeaway meals that were also going out.

Little India is by far the best Indian restaurant in Dunedin. The food,service and lovely surroundings always guarantees a wonderful dining experience. Alex is a wonderful host who goes out of his way to ensure a high quality dining experience is given ;o)
