I have been eating Little India food for many years, the food is consistently very good (4 stars). I have had mostly takeaways in recent years.

Last weekend we went to the Rototuna branch to dine in. The service was appalling. After 20 minutes of being ignored I had to go up and ask when we may expect some service!! Even thereafter it wasn’t exactly the best either. Other Indian restaurants around Hamilton beat Little India hands down in service. If I want to buy from Little India I think I will just stick to takeaways!!

Ordered Chicken Jalfrez from this restaurant to take away with other orders for my family. Collected the meals and took them home but when I took a mouthful it burnt the skin off my mouth. I had ordered medium so expected it a bit hot but not what I got. Whe I rang them to complain the guy said they had accidently made it extra hot and that if I could come back they would make me a replacement. I expected at least some sort of apology but was treated as if it was my fault. The result was I did get a replacement but I had to drive 15kms to collect a meal that I could not taste because my mouth had been burnt and a rude person on the desk. Imagine if this had happened to my kids!! Don’t go there

What a difference from the last time we ate here. Little India has had a face lift and is much cleaner. The menu looks much more appealing in the new format (although I see all my favourites are still there). Friendly staff. The food as I expect is really good but the ambience is much much better. Also, the restaurant felt busier. Well done guys, investing in a friednly, cleaner environment!

I used to go to Little India 10 years ago when I lived in Hamilton and loved it then. I hadn’t been back to see Goldie and the crew up until quite recently and I have to say after living in Auckland where there is a lot of competition, nothing comes close to Little India Hamilton. Goldie was there when we dined and it brought back fabulous memories.

Seriously this Restaurant is top notch. A must if you are wanting a curry in Hamilton with very friendly service!

If you just want the food – this place is great. But the ambience is lacking and the cleanliness fairly marginal. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we dined and were seated facing the open kitchen door. I couldn’t stop looking at the dirt and food and rubbish underneath the floating kitchen bench units. It was honestly quite off-putting. I don’t go to a restaurant to look in the kitchen – I could do that at home for free!

I only buy my take away Indian food from here. It is delicious, prompt service and a good amount to share with my family.

love love love this place! delicious and generous amounts of food i will definately be returning! shame that the premises is quite small not too worry their food and service makes up for it!

Far to much food colouring

Excellent service, fantastic food and friendly atmosphere! Our experience was wonderful and we will come again and recommend to others.

Had a lovely dinner, the service was friendly and prompt. Will be going back.

Really lovely personal and friendly service, we were late diners and did not feel rushed. Lots of warm smiles from all staff not to mention the delicious fresh food.

Fab little resturant friendly with great food. Bit small in size but a great night
