The Londoner is an English Pub in Central Hamilton oozing Old English charm. Great gastro pub food. English beer (including Old Speckled Hen & Tetleys) on tap. Local handcrafted beer on tap. Plenty of wines & spirits and bottled beers to choose from.
A place where you can enjoy good food and beverages and conversation.
We have a pub Quiz on Wednesday nights. A big screen TV
for enjoying those big sporting events. And of course Roast meals on Sunday nights.

Based on an English Pub theme The Londoner has a great atmosphere. I have been here several times and my husband and his parents rave over it too. The food is always good in taste and size. There is a good variety of “English Pub Food” and some basics for all the family. We have taken our 8 and 11 year olds there and they enjoyed it too.

Everything about this place is average but the price you pay is well above average. $70 for two “meh” dinners (bangers & mash, steak pie) and beers seems a bit steep for Hamilton. Never mind the 10 minute wait between the two meals arriving at the table. Service was disinterested and everything about the place was just… meh. Won’t be hurrying back the next time we’re in town.

A group of us went to The Londoner for one of their quiz nights and we had a lot of fun as well as a “value for money” bistro meal.
The service was polite, friendly and helpful.

Last night , a group of us enjoyed the fun atmosphere of the Londoner – we came to watch a rugby match on the big screen. The food was superb, and the staff excellent – looking forward to going again

I know and I do not need to tell/inform about quality of food because Mr. Paul McGuiness is great CHEF I worked with. He has a quality hands when he works in kitchen. He is always inspired and always enthusiastic of getting new dishes and to get it he puts his 100%. Good one you Paul

The Londoner is a great place for an evening get together. I have visited both after work and on several Saturday evenings when we enjoyed watching the All Blacks on the HUGE screen.
The atmosphere is pleasant and orderly which is important to me. The food is tasty, well presented and in keeping with the style of pub with portion size good.

A good range of beers on offer from locally brewed ales and a lager, to a couple of imported nitrogen pulled ales from England which make a nice choice.
I would like to see at least one ale with a big hop character in keeping with recent trends all around NZ.

We will be visiting the Londoner again soon.
Paul.
