Extremely disappointed on my visit to Lone Star Tauranga, in comparison to Wellington their was no comparison. The potion sizes were smaller and the Dixie chicken that I ordered seemed to have a curry sauce and not the usual sauce. The coleslaw that comes with this dish was a brownish. We thought that having a dessert might save the day but the chocolate pudding was undercooked and runny so we won’t be going back here anytime soon at all. Not the family dining experience at all that we wanted for that special day out.
Great service, great atmosphere and nice food. It almost seemed like they were trying to make the meals a little more fancy than usual though, because they were a little smaller than I’m used to.

I like this place but it didn’t really work this time for us. We took 2 of our children here for a special treat. But kids meals were too long coming, not much for the kids to do so they got impatient, the buffalo chips had been sitting around a bit long, the coleslaw was ho-hum, have had better ribs, the bill gave us a bit of a fright at the end… We have had fun times here before though.

Great service, the matre de was so friendly and very hardcase. Food was excellent and love the plate options.
