Have been here three times now, and two experiences were poor, so I won’t be going back. We went with a large group (30+ people) and they coped really well, especially considering the restaurant was also full. However I’m just not a fan of the quality of their meals for the price, but I think this is just me, everyone else seems to love it! Can definitely think of a few better restaurants for the same or less cost nearby.

Not overly impressed by Lone Star.
Have been there quite a few times, but wouldn’t go there if I was choosing the venue.
I found that we spent a lot of time waiting, the meals were big, but not fantastic. Felt like I was wasting money because I couldn’t finish the big meals.
Over-all, nothing terribly wrong with Lone Star, but I wouldn’t really recommend it.

Been to this place a few time. Every time we had an enjoyable evening. Whether it’s with a group or just with 2 people.
Although the food is slightly on the higher end, it is completely worth it. I recommend going on an empty stomach because it will surely be filled. The service is outstanding and the food is delicious. Would definitely go there again.

Couldn’t complain, food and service is always great. Always good to do group/work functions their. great atmosphere. I wouldn’t go for a family thing with kiddies tho. Never sure on the wait with food and can sometimes be waiting a while to be seated to table even if booked. Always very bizy. Never a prob when your in a group tho as you always have time to catch up and talk.

As usual very busy establishment. Menu is very varied. We had the ribeye steak with mushroom sauce and the dixie chicken. Cooked perfectly. Medium sizes as the usual size is huge. Dessert was banoffie pie and the kiwi pavlovas. $85 for two. Great price. Great established chain. Highly recommend.

I’ve been to this restaurant so many times. Food used to be in a very general portion size with a very reasonable price. However they’ve increased their price, same like most restaurants, and it’s not so cheap anymore. Service was average to extremely good. Food was good in general. Love the way pork rib was presented…always turn my head around. I used to order Ring of Fire for entree but they don’t sell it anymore due to not enough demand….very disappointed. When I first discovered this, I asked whether they can cook one for me and and they did it eventhough it was no longer on the menu…thanks guys! Food arrived very quick no matter how busy they were. Love the music but it was too loud and we had to raise our voices when talked.

Excellent food huge portions good entertainment for kids (colouring in )recommend the mussels and the ribs!

Great meals and plenty of food for your money. The environment is great but can often be quite a wait to be seated.

great night… Should i say more

we went to lone star for my fiances birthday with a group of friends and this happened to be on the weekend of v8s and i was so impressed with the service having worked in hospitality through my teenage years i know how hard it is to work under pressure when a hole restaurant is full and all there staff handled this amazingly and the food was beautiful if anything we where given to much next time i will stick to the normal not the classic.

Initial service was okay then it became nonexistent. Waiter sat down at table to take order! Drink orders were forgotten, finished plates left for an eternity, mains delivered without cutlery. Food was acceptable but let down by poor service.

Theres always plenty to eat when we come here! The service was a little slow, but there were a lot of customers. The food was great and husband was pleased with a huge plate of ribs. Only distraction was the waitresses cleavage showing (well distraction for the males in our group!).

Food and service generally very good. Meals are huge. Steak cuts could be better. Can be noisy, better on a weeknight when not so busy.

Great decoration, great music, great theme. Service is above average, and food is very good. Although it may suit many, and is probably one of their draw cards, I find the food portions to be out of control – huge plates! I recommend the 3/4 size meals.
