It is great to see the boss working the floor and even though they were really busy and we had to eat in the bar, this didn’t detract from the speed of their service and an amazing meal.

Total rip off. Steak at 34 bux? And it was burnt along with the potatoe chips they were dry as. Ugh gross. And the service I mean yes it was friendly but not when they coming at your table every 10 mins. Wouldn’t waste time or money. Seriously them 10 dollar steaks at the pub beats this any day.

I’m reasonably familiar with the Lone Star brand and reputation for big-sized high quality meals, so it’s the first place I thought of to take my wife on her birthday. We were greeted with a big smile and immediately looked after. After being seated at our table the waitress was super friendly and made us feel at home as we placed our order. My wife ordered the salmon and I ordered a dozen of the famous Lone Star ribs (with fries instead of chuncky wedges). The food was absolutely devine! We couldn’t get enough of the freshy-made coleslaw, and the straight-cut fries were the best I’ve ever had! And the ribs were succulent and outstandingly good! (I don’t believe you can get ribs as good as this anywhere else!) My wife loved the salmon, which was cooked to perfection!

When we finished our meals, my wife went to the bathroom to freshen up, and the waitress came over and suggested that I give her a nod as soon as my wife returned back to the table – which I did – and literally seconds later the waitress came to our table with a pavlova birthday cake for one with a candle on it! (anyone that dines there on their birthday gets a pavlova birthday cake!).

It was a great night at Lone Star! I can’t say enough about the quality of food, matched with the friendly service from the staff. The atmosphere and surroundings are top notch, with modern styling and beautiful lighting around the premises. I just wish other restaurant brands took the high-standard example set by Lone Star for quality of food, atmosphere, friendly service, and unique little touches like the pavlova birthday cake idea. At the moment, in my opinion no one comes close to Lone Star on any of these attributes. Would highly recommend Lone Star Cafe!

Like all Lone Star restaurant’s this one is also great. Great friendly service, great food and always makes you want to go back.
At times can be a little noisy so sometimes it comes down to picking the right time to go.
Either way, a place I will look forward to going to for many years to come

Visited this Establishment last weekend on 1st of August 2010.

Ordered the bread which was nice.
Had Lamb shanks as the main.
These I found were over seasoned and not to my taste. This meal was left to a doggie bag.

The prices are way up there and for the size and contents on the plate way below standard acceptable in this Franchise.

Other meals were also ordered and were felt to be very bland.

The staff were excellent but the food quality needs looking at-It is not up to standard.

I would recommend eating elsewhere until an improvement is achieved.

Humn The other reviews are interesting, but I still standby my comments.

I love this place.Been here many times for dinner and would highly recommend this place for anyone who has a big appetite, small servings also for those that can’t eat these. Only one little grudge I have with all Lone Stars is that you can’t make bookings in advance.Other that that look no further than here

You know you are almost always going to get a good feed at the Lone Star. We’ve been going over the last few years and it has been good but the change in menu a couple of years ago meant we lost some of our favourites. (Bring back the Tequila Scallops!) Portions are large, in fact we alway order the small servings. Service is polite and helpful and if you choose the right time to go you can avoid the larger, noisier family groupings. Only problems we have had has been with going at the ends of holiday weekends where they tend to run out of food and use substitute ingredients in the dishes.
