My wife and I have been here often, both for lunch and evening meal too and we have never been disappointed with the service and food!
Of course it gets busy at lunchtimes, due to its CBD location and reputation, so booking is definitely the best option.
Despite it alway being busy (a great sign of success), you are assured of attentive service at all times and the food is delightful and always of the highest standard.
As a vegetarian, my wife has heaps to choose from as well, which is rare in Wellington and most welcome.
this is not the cheapest Asian place to eat in the city but it has rightly earned its place as a top eatery, no matter what the occasion or time.

Good value and quick service with plenty of choices to make. That’s the hardest part! The Roti are fantastic. This is my first choice for lunch with work colleagues as I have never been disappointed. They don’t mind splitting the bill. It pays to book as they are ALWAYS busy. and with good reason. Brilliant!

As visitors to Wellington, we found the Long Bar by chance – but what a stroke of luck!! The welcome was instantaneous and the menu and wine list extensive. Not only was the food beautifully cooked, it was copious, well presented and served quickly. The chef was obviously out of the ordinary, and the staff very pleasant.Indeed,we ate there several times, being thoroughly spoilt on each occasion.A treat not to be missed!!!!

I Love long bar, we have food from here for lunch at least twice a week. They are friendly and service is fast. I think their meals are great value and taste fantastic. They make the best Mee Goreng in Welly !! especially nice for dinner as well, lovely atmosphere.

Fantastic little place! Food is delicious, prices are great and service is super quick.
I go here all the time – both with friends and for work – and it is always of a consistently high standard.

I made the bad decision to have lunch here. The congealed mass that was my beef korma was barely warm and made with old stringy meat. The vegetable spring rolls had no vegetables in them and were dripping with fat. Absolutely awful experience and will not be going back there.

Fantastic little restaurant. They run a very fast, clean and delicious service. They have plenty of staff, and is a constant hive of seating, serving, paying and cleaning up to keep the lunch crowd rolling through.
I think they make the best Curry Laksa in town.
