I have travelled to Rhailand many times and the food at lotus Thai is just as food as the real deal!! The duck is to die for! The Location is not the prettiest but the food and service far makes up for it!

We drive here to dinner from Rotorua- better than any of the Thai restaurants there. Great service and wonderful food. “Hot” isn’t as all that hot- but they’ll spice it right up on request. Nice atmosphere and good selection of food.

Great experience with authentic Thai Cuisine. Host are nice and friendly. We loved it. Will be back.

The food was delicious as well as nicely priced, service was attentive but not invading, and there were some nice touches to the style of service that added to the Thai atmosphere. Will definitely make a point to go there again

Our favourite Thai restaurant in town – always great food and friendly service. We even have friends from New Plymouth who say its better than any Thai they have there.

We always look forward to eating at Lotus Thai when we are in Taupo. Staff are friendly & polite & the food is fantastic! Can’t wait to go back next time we are up.

As a lover of Thai food and with numerous visits to Thailand, this restaurants food is decidely average. They did offer us a side dish of chilli to add to our meals, and the endless rice is fabulous. Pleasant service.

As Taupo locals my wife and I have tried most of the eating establishments around Taupo and there are many good ones. We can not speak highly enough of the authentic Thai food along with the authentic Thai service that is available at Lotus Thai. This would have to be the most popular place to eat in town for locals and visitors alike, nothing compares. For this there is a reason.- Tops in Quality (full bodied flavours that can only be achieved through quality ingredients), value, service and ambiance. You feel as though you are in a Fine Thailand restaurant.Over the years we have been using this restaurant we have become friends with the staff and the owners as we eat there most weeks. And when you look around you will observe that most of the locals dining there also feel part of the Lotus Thai family.As you can tell this is my favorite, and I’m glad they are in Taupo.
