Good simple food. The burger my partner had was massive and he loved it. Every meal served with lots of chips! Seafood plater pretty standard. Neat place and good view if you can get a table outside.

The prices and food were good at this place – we have eaten here before. however the attitude of the staff were unfriendly and positively hostile!Order was taken with an attitude -whatever ! !Unbelievably unprofessional. I asked for salt and was told the salt was ina bowl :OVER THERE’ – when I pointed out that there was only pepper inthe bowl lwas met with a huffy sigh and then salt was thrown into said bowl! Wont visit again in a hurry as there are lots of places to eat in Paihia thanks

Cool atmosphere and friendly staff, can’t beat the views or prices at Mako. We only had drinks, but would be keen to try a toastie sammie next time, we’ve heard heaps of people recommend them!! Thanks

One of the best views over the water in the Bay of Islands. Sit back in the sun and enjoy a drink or two – the gourmet burgers are HUGE, fresh and to die for. By far the BEST burgers in town.
