I have eaten here twice before. One time for Lunch and another for Dinner. The food is average. The service is poor. Aparently it has gone down the drains since the new owners have taken over. Pricing is cheapish. :/

Oh this was really bad!

Wife had to vomit when we came home, the Butter Chicken was very bad, very dry.

The Chicken Nyonya, a simple South-East Asian chicken curry, normally rich with coconut and fragrant with spices, had no traces of Coconut cream at all, very plain, not spicy at all unfortunately.

Just bad food and 15 minutes between my and my wife’s serving. Thats really not on ….

The waitresses said about 17 times “sorry” all the time for whatever reason…

A very bad experience at Malaysia Satay Restaurant in Albany.

I grew up in Malaysia so I can vouch for the authenticity of the food- it tastes great and they offer a lot more than satay! Lunch prices are very reasonable (under $10). Their service is excellent but to be honest, by Kiwi standards, could be a little more prompt. Deserts (around $5) to die for. I like that they’re open for lunch till 3pm as I can catch lunch before doing the school run. If you like Asian food, you should try Malaysia Satay!
