One Review for Maori Hill Takeaways
I have bought food from this takeaway for the past 6 years now, and in general, the food is very good, depending what you order.
The standard stuff like fish, hotdogs with chips etc. Is always very nice and cooked well. The Chinese menu is also very good, depending on what you choose. It is a little bit ‘pot luck’ at times.
I would recommend dishes like the Egg Fu Yong, fried rice, fried noodles, and the chow mein; but the only dish I have a problem with is sweet and sour pork. The pork balls, 40% of the time, will be either very chewy or completely made up of gristle. I would not recommend the sweet and sour pork. If you do decide to go for sweet and sour, get another meat, but if you insist on pork, then only get the sweet and sour wontons.
The service is good, however occasionally they do mess up one dish ordered when we order 3 or more dishes. However, it still tastes great.
The place is very hygienically clean, as it holds an A-rating. The food is very affordable and, bear in mind this is a takeaway and not a restaurant, the food is very good.
