Stumbled upon Marcello’s cafe about 6 months ago and I haven’t looked another cafe since. The best Mochachino I have ever had, and the breakfast is to die for. The omelette is delicious and the eggs benedict hits the spot. Marcello and his staff are very friendly and take the time to get to know you, you feel the love in everything Marcello does. I have no problem rating Marcellos a 5 out of 5.

This cafe was a delightful surprise and the best cafe I have been to in a long time! The pizza was just to die for – I had the smoked salmon and capers pizza while my friend had the smoked chicken. I ate that whole thin crust pizza, savouring every mouthful, and felt completely satisfied (but not stuffed full) at the end. The coffee was authentically Italian with a good strong flavour. And the staff were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back there again…and again!

Fantastic place, great service and very good food.
We picked a sunny winters morning and sat outside, but were never forgotten.
It also came as a big surprise that this was a gay friendly establishment, having said that it was filled with a mix of people. I would say that I rate this cafe as one of the best I have ever been to in Auckland. I will return, again and again!

Had really good omelette for breakfast with coffee. Fabulous hot chocolate! Bacon was a little bit too crispy but nice, friendly service so will definitely return again. Was so tempted by the sweet goodies in the cabinet, we took a couple of slices away for afters. The ginger crunch was made the good old fashioned way grandma used to and the Gluten Free Citrus slice was moist & tasty. The GF slices are the same reasonable prices as every thing else and they also offer GF pizza bases on their lunchtime menu. Will be back again Marcello

Marcellos is excellent with attention to detail in the strong coffee and the triangular slicing of rectangular cakes. The outdoor seating is great and availability of reading matter. Best around ….
