Second time I have been and the second time I was totally disappointed. Food was bland no seasoning. Ordered five dishes three tasted the same but different colours. One word, awful. Never again. I could do better.
Visited NZ, children suggested Masala, will never regret the choice. We had excellent meals in a great setting, especially love the special touches of the garden lights and sea view as we left.
No request was denied, they did their very best to make our three dining experiences memorable.
Food was exceptional and my hubby, who is is an ice cream fiend was treated to the most wonderful dessert although it is not on the general menu by lovely, friendly people
Next visit to New Zealand, first stop will certainly be Masala.
Great food and great, friendly service.

Booked for a group of 4. Ordered drinks – had to chase them up as took over half an hour. After an hour and a half we asked when we would be getting our food. (we had only ordered 4 curries). We then had a completely wrong order delivered to out table. When we explained it was wrong they took it back – still no word on when we would get ours so we left. Had a very nice meal with little wait else where. Big improvements needed here with both service and manners.
Great, Great, Great! I’ve been many times before and love it every time.

Been here a couple of times. Good authentic indian food at reasonable prices each time with good service. Would recommend

Just ordered a takeaway meal and now fully regretting the decision. 30 minutes late, meat I would hesitate to feed to the dog, all the dishes stone cold and to top it off the Naan bread had been dropped on the floor prior to it arriving here. Will avoid this place like the H1N1 Virus in the future

Have been to masala in stanmore bay a number of times. The food is a little bland unless you specify ‘Indian’ hot rather than ‘European’ hot, but otherwise have found it to be a great place to eat, especially if you go early with children. The restaurant is in an old character villa with a wrap around deck opposite the garden, you can sit outside and keep an eye on the kids while you eat. There is even a kids menu now. Great value on $10 days (Mon/Tues/Wed) where all mains are $10. Watch the price obviously does go up when you order a starter drinks and coffee but generally good value for money in a great location. Would definitely recommend. We take all our overseas visitors there.

I too frequently went to Curry and Spice
Manly until these people took over. We vowed never to go again, but for our Christmas work get-together 30 of us went due to convenience. Sadly the food quality and service were both very poor and people were quite disapointed. We waited for 90 minutes for the first mains to be served and then were informed the fish was off the menu as they had run out, (no-one else was there)I would have gone to Foodtown for them if they had let me know a little earlier.
We won’t be going again.

My family and friends went to Masala Restaurant on 21st of november, all togeather we were a group of 25 people. We were served by the lady manager/owner of the restaurant. we put our trust and money on this lady and decided to let her choose our Entree and main course meal for the night. the food that arrived on our table was Masala bomb’s for the Entree and homemade biryani and Keema curry. We were highly astonished by the taste and smell of the food at a reasonable price. we were all extremely pleased with the service and the food of this restaurant. we will definitely go back and also suggest this restaurant to anyone looking for a authentic indian restaurant.
