Something for everyone is no idyll boast from the owners of Matakana Village Takeaways.

Amrit and Veena Singh, who also own the Albany Sports Bar and Caf and Albany Village Curry, have devised a menu to suit even the fussiest diner. As well as fish n chips, it is a curry house that does kebabs, burgers and pizza.

It was the missing ingredient in Matakana ” now the village has everything it needs to offer locals and visitors a first class dining experience, Amrit says.

Chefs Ranjit and Sumit have some great experience and have perfected a quick and easy style of cooking that does not compromise on taste.

We are particularly proud of our curries which I believe are among the best you will find anywhere, Amrit says. There is also a range of vegetarian dishes, as well as options for soy free, gluten free and dairy free.

The takeaway has extended its hours until around 9.30pm and will open later on weekends if there is demand. They are also offering a delivery service out to as far as Leigh and Omaha.

I ate a Falafel kebab from here, it was quick and tasty, and reasonable ($10) compared to the often exuberant matakana omaha prices the smell coming from the kitchen made me want to try the butter chicken.
