The service at Mecca is warm and friendly. The menu style is modern cafe, with a strong Mediterranean influence.
Mecca Chancery is located in the heart of Auckland’s quality fashion shopping area, and offers a unique European-style environment for relaxing and dining. Enjoy dining indoors or alfresco in a clean, car-free area, with lots of people watching to be done. The atmosphere is magical at night with hundreds of fairy lights hanging from the glass atrium above the outdoor Mecca bar. In addition to the cafe, Mecca Chancery has an outdoor bar serving coffee and drinks all day and evening.
Mecca Chancery is open 7 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A meze / tapas menu is available from 4pm each day.
METRO MAGAZINE listed Mecca Chancery as one of Auckland’s Top 50 Cafes, in Nov 2008. They said: “Smart European-style indoor/outdoor sophistication”.
Rod said: "The nearest to a Provence restaurant in NZ. Ambiance and service great" read more »

The staff are very competent and polite, and as busy as they get I never seem to wait as long as I would expect.
A warm, welcoming, positive place to eat drink and be merry.
Did you eat at this restaurant? Have an opinion to share?

Have spent much more in supposedly better restaurants and had much worse than Mecca – bfast are excellent and the coffee bar in the middle one of the best around
Summer lunchtimes are packed, and rightly so
