I just hope everyone who have tried this place will post a review. I live in Newtown where a Mediterranean Food Warehouse is also standing but since I’ve tasted the Kelburn branch I always go there no matter how far it is from where I live. Believe me there is a difference with the taste! I love their pizza! Everytime I go there with my friends, we always try a different variety and it never failed to satisfy us. The team there is very friendly! Great service! The spaghetti bolognese is my favorite, and the garlic bread is always pn the top of our order list. You should also try their Greek salad.

This place is a surprise discovery in the suburb of Kelburn. Has a dinner last night with a bunch of friends. We enjoyed our food so much. Pizza was superb. We also try their pasta… will definitely recommend the spaghetti bolognese… We did received a friendly service.
Will definitely recommend to everyone….
Try their Chorizola pizza… if you love blue cheese….

We chose to come here for our baby-sat night out because we’ve enjoyed the pizza at the Newtown joint.
At 7.30 on a Friday night we were the only customers apart from another woman, and two couples who came in to collect takeaways.
The ambience-free decor wouldn’t have bothered me if both the food, and the service from the very young staff (local 17 and 18 year olds, I reckoned) were a lot better.
The waitress who took our order was very friendly and obviously wanted to do her job well, but another waitress looked over her shoulder and down her nose at us as we entered, unmistakeably looking me up and down. So yeah, we’d left the house in hurry (you know how it is, when your babysitter has limited time) but it wasn’t exactly a professional welcome, or a welcome of any sort.
The waitress who took our order didn’t bring the food to our table. That was done by the young bloke with the white apron who said ‘Here you go’ and put our plates in front of us. I had calzone and my partner had pizza: calzone you don’t usually eat with your fingers, but the guy hadn’t thought to bring us the cutlery bundled up in white napkins. We had nothing on our table except our plates, and water glasses. I went up to the counter and fetched the cutlery from its box.
The food was overpriced for what it was, which is pretty dull pizza / calzone that anyone could make at home. Next time we’ll definitely go to atmospheric, delicious Scopa, even if we have to wait for ages at the bar.

Friday night.
I just finished my first week of work at a new company, and I was STARVING. My loverman worked out at the gym for 2 hours and was about to collapse from low blood sugar levels.
Loverman had come to this pizza joint once before, when they first opened. He said the service was spotty and the food, well….The food was less than compelling.
However, he did want to give this place another try.
We ordered the garlic bread pizza (which was HUGE, it’s basically a large pizza with olive oil, garlic, salt and rosemary) to start. Then, we shared the Mediterranean pizza.
The dough wasn’t bad. It’s a thin, wood-fired crust with lots of toppings and very little cheese (which is good thing in my pizza world).
The sauce was bland. I think they could tinker with the sauce formula a bit to either infuse more flavor or spice it up. I think the dough for the pizza needs more salt as well. Otherwise, the toppings were fresh and plentiful.
The pizza could have also used another 3-5 minutes in the oven. I like charred bits on my crust and lots of bubbly, crusty goodness. Don’t be afraid of the char, Mr. Pizzaiola; it’s what makes the pizza taste good!
Anyway, with an Italian lemonade and a glass of house red, our meal came to $40.
Not bad for a Friday night, and not bad for our neighborhood pizzeria. I hope this place stays in business…Loverman gives it a thumbs up for his second time back.

Service was friendly and prompt. We had garlic bread, which was a little bland and Isle of Capri Pizza.

This restaurant is located where Red Tomatoes used to be.
Service was poor. We had a group of 8 and it took us two and a half hours to be served and to eat two courses.
Waitress knowledge of the wine list was poor. Although there were maybe 5 or so white wines on the wine list, they only had one in stock. Although the restaurant was not full, it took a long time to be offered drinks, and then another long wait to place our orders. We had to prompt the waitress to see a dessert menu. Waitress attitude was indifferent.
Pizza was good and generously sized. Dessert perhaps overpriced for what it was. Would recommend this place for takeout only.
