The Millhouse offers a divine blend of contemporary New Zealand tastes and classic European fare complemented by an extensive wine list featuring New Zealand’s finest as well as selected wines from across the world.
With the recent appointment of Executive Chef, Russell Heron, the menu now incorporates influences from his past experience in London and Japan.
The menu changes seasonally to incorporate kiwi favourites such as whitebait, oysters and organic produce.

The Millhouse looks out at a small lake shrouded by snow capped alps – Wow.
The food is a real gem, well thought through menu and wine list, beautifully cooked with understanding of how to do things very well.
Service was by a local girls clearly well trained by a tall blond French lady, who was clearly keeping a caring watchful eye on all the tables. Great location, menu and people, we loved it.
