Housed in a Victorian town house (circa 1897), MINT’s contemporary cuisine focuses on the excellent fresh produce and beautiful wines from the Hawkes Bay area.
There are several spaces throughout the stylish renovated interior.
The main dining area downstairs offers quiet intimate dining and space for pre-dinner drinks, or coffees in the comfortable Lounge.
The ‘Chef’s Table’ sits on a mezzanine floor with seating for up to eight diners, overlooking the main dining area.
There’s a separate small dining room upstairs, with views of the ocean. This gives MINT the flexibility to cater for small private functions and groups of varying sizes, business dining and celebrations.
The heritage building, located on Marine Parade in Napier, is one of six almost identical houses known as the ‘Six Sisters’. MInt retains it’s original exterior facade and some of its notable interior features, including a superb rimu fireplace in the lounge and the attractive rimu staircase.
Bookings are recommended and may be made by phone or on our website.
Specific dietary requirements are catered for by pre-arrangement, please discuss this with us when making your reservation.
Mint: join Steve and Ruth Beere and the team, for dining to remember.

Choose this place as it was new since our last visit to the bay.
Absolute disaster, entrees were cold and mains over cooked. No excuses, no apologies
Save your money and don’t go here.
