Housed in a Victorian town house (circa 1897), MINT’s contemporary cuisine focuses on the excellent fresh produce and beautiful wines from the Hawkes Bay area.

There are several spaces throughout the stylish renovated interior.
The main dining area downstairs offers quiet intimate dining and space for pre-dinner drinks, or coffees in the comfortable Lounge.
The ‘Chef’s Table’ sits on a mezzanine floor with seating for up to eight diners, overlooking the main dining area.
There’s a separate small dining room upstairs, with views of the ocean. This gives MINT the flexibility to cater for small private functions and groups of varying sizes, business dining and celebrations.

The heritage building, located on Marine Parade in Napier, is one of six almost identical houses known as the ‘Six Sisters’. MInt retains it’s original exterior facade and some of its notable interior features, including a superb rimu fireplace in the lounge and the attractive rimu staircase.

Bookings are recommended and may be made by phone or on our website.
Specific dietary requirements are catered for by pre-arrangement, please discuss this with us when making your reservation.

Mint: join Steve and Ruth Beere and the team, for dining to remember.

had our first dining experience at mint last night. we were delighted. fabulous food!! lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. it is unlike us to have a starter, main and dessert but we both did and could not fault the food. we will be back :-)

had our second trip back to mint and once again food was divine. very generous meat portions (and we love that!). can’t wait for the next menu change. :-)

My husband took pot luck going to Mint for our second night in Napier. The meal was exceptional! Great food, good atmosphere and wonderful service. We had been to Mister D the night before and really enjoyed it but Mint took it to a higher level. My husband and I were still enjoying the taste experience the following day. Make a point of going – you won’t be disappointed!

Visited with friends on a Hawkes Bay food and wine adventure.
Choose this place as it was new since our last visit to the bay.

Absolute disaster, entrees were cold and mains over cooked. No excuses, no apologies

Save your money and don’t go here.

This reviewer posted his initial, & very similar, review on another dining guide site, to which our manager responded. We repeat our explanatory response here: It is a shame all four of you did not enjoy your evening with us. There was not a lot I could do…    More »

Expect classic dishes presented in a modern way by Chef Steve Beere. The fresh mandarin jelly is my pick of the desserts. Check out more food photos from Mint here: http://tweet2eat.co.nz…
