Wowsers, what a weird curry. Flavourless slop described by my partner as salted milk. The meal we ordered was called the chicken mughlai. Wooed falsely by the ‘new’ banner bobbing around above the meal on the menu we were sorely disappointed. I don’t know if you can describe food as old but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t anything new.
Also ……. Wine made the missus pull a very weird face, not a good face.
The only reason it gets a 2 out of 5 is the naan bread. It was actually amazing.
Onion bhaji was not too bad but with wilted coriander.
I guess there was nothing wrong with the staff either.
So maybe go to mint but don’t get the mughlai.
Bye bye.

Felt that the food and service was reasonably good.
Ordered Chai (Indian tea) at the end of the meal – was too weak and did not taste like the real stuff.

I visited Mint a couple of weeks ago, hoping to take advantage of their $10 takeaway curry order. The garlic naan was the best part of the meal; my chicken korma was definitely NOT mild and its texture was appalling. I’d like to think dining in-house is better, but, based on Mint’s other reviews, I highly doubt it.
We were a large group, but had booked more than a week in advance so they could have prepared us.
From the time we ordered to the time our food arrived was nearly an hour. We were about ready to eat our hands!
The young man who took the order asked each person if they would like their curry mild, medium etc which is as to be expected.
It was the older waiter who delivered it and he told everyone that they were all the same heat, when some people had specifically asked for theirs to be less spicy or more spicy.
My chicken tikka was ok, but the tandoori mushrooms were pretty salty and didn’t taste much like any tandoori I’d had before.
They seemed quite uninterested in us and only asked us once if we would like more drinks. They didn’t even apologise for the wait.
I won’t be recommending this place to anyone

Had to know where to start with this one. We’d been here once before and were largely unimpressed but decided to give them another go on the basis the first time may have just been an off night. Unfortunately dining experience number two was even worse. It didn’t start off well when the waitress dropped a complete tray with four drinks all over one our party – we’ve all seen a drink dropped by a waitress before but this was the whole tray our friend was completely drenched and had to go home to change. In general the food was ok but nothing more but the beef skewers were charred beyond recognition – more like lumps of charcoal on a stick and the prawn dishs contained very small prawns or in some cases just the tails. The food was only warm not hot and took a long time to appear. We won’t be giving them a 3rd go which is a pity as their location is ideal.

Walked past Mint and saw they posted a food review article on their window so decided to give it a try, since it was advertised as “Indian / Malaysian”.
Ordered the nasi lemak dish, and must say we were underwhelmed! Can’t taste any “lemak” in the rice – it seemed to be coated with lots of dessicated coconut but doesn’t appear to be cooked with coconut milk! Hardly authentic Malaysian nasi lemak!
To make the experience even lest pleasant overall, we asked for a doggie bag at the end as we couldn’t finish all the food, and I was surprised that we were charged for the doggie bag!
Service wise in general it was OK and we couldn’t really fault it, but we just felt that the food is not authentic Malaysia fare – perhaps more Indian than Malaysian.

We used a deal voucher for a sizzling plate, 2 curries, drinks and naan. I decided to try something different with the signature dish Goat Rara which was really good and I would recommend it. I loved the selection of naan you can choose from. I think the sizzling platter was enough for 3 or 4 people as a starter, with 2 it was too much!

Went to Mint for dinner on a Sunday night with a group of 6 and were very disappointed with the experience.Food took a long time to come out and the curries were not at the spice level requested. had to request a bowl of curry paste to heat them and was then charged at the end. I had to request my chicken tikka masala to be re-done twice as first time was not of curry consistency and second time the chicken was burnt. Will not be recommending Mint to other people.
