For a Romantic evening Mollies has a lot to offer. Candles by the yard, flowers attentive pleasant staff. It even had operetta on Friday night.
Now we went for the food which although good is not as good as they obviously think it is. I had a very average risotto, my wife enjoyed hers though. The crayfish which we both had was extremely disappointing. I had a superb one at the Grove.
The tasting desert plate was run of the mill.
I am hard on stars and like to grade on price and reputation.
Mollies struggles to get past 3 stars if compared with most good Auckland restaurants I gave the Grove 4 so can’t go above 3. I am sure the tourists love it but noticed most left in taxi’s before eating. The restaurant was half empty try getting into Cibo on a Saturday night

Everyone should experience Mollies The Dining Room at least once in their lives. Once experienced you are bound to want to return. For sheer beauty, romance and pampering, not to mention the divine food, Mollies scores 6 stars ****** in my book!

This place is truly stunning.
Went as part of a huge specially catered luncheon.
The interior is gorgeous. This is posh stuff. Flannels to dry your hands on in the bathrooms . . . Gorgeous fresh flowers everywhere. And top notch service from staff.

The food had everybody in raptures.
I especially loved the desserts. We had a selection of all sorts – i’m not sure which ones . . . but all absolutely mind-blowing.

I personally didn’t like the risotto for the main – but i think that was a personal thing, as everyone else around me assured me that it was actually a really excellent risotto – they all thought it was delicious.

Mollies is an experience you need to have!
