My new favourite cafe in Wellington. The staff are always super helpful and friendly, the food and the coffee is delicious, the menu is great and not expensive and the decor is fun.

Beef and olive casserole is to die for! Took me back to Paris – Latin Quarter cafes. Simply divine.

I discovered Mon Ami the week I started a new job nearby and have been a regular customer ever since!

Meals are always tasty and beautifully presented using the freshest ingredients. This place is a real find for discerning Wellingtonians who want homestyle French cuisine at a very affordable price.

In New York there is open access broadband everywhere. In Paris, there are cafes that serve wine while you surf. In New Zealand there are exorbitant prices for the internet, and very few well designed and well-baffled cafes that you can have a professional or creative meetings in.

Mon Ami is charming. The staff are lovely, the attitude of the place is of a little business that loves and supports its community with free wireless and a free bike to use and lovely food. They use organic where possible, and the coffee is non other than ‘Peoples’, served as the people like it. Tres Bon!

The menu choice is excellent and the food is unbelieveable, but you have to eat slowly to REALLY enjoy each mouthful that seems lovingly put together. I am not too keen on the hard chairs, but the food and coffee standard allows them to get away with this!
