Have dined here often, usually for brunch or lunch. Other reviewers have mentioned the delay in clearing tables, the frustration of the water top ups, and the availability of menu items. I agree with all these comments, however am still happy to go back is they do produce some nice dishes. Haven’t tried take out, but their coffees are average.

I really, really doubt the 1 star reviews on here. My partner & I briefly went in for something to eat & a coffee before going to our movie.
The coffee is absolutely delicious & the cabinet is full of lots of exciting things. We ordered the Bruschetta platter to share & wished we had ordered two! It was truly divine!
The service was fantastic – there were plenty of staff on & they were helpful & friendly. We were given water for the table without having to ask for it & our coffees came quickly as did our food & second lot of coffee’s (which we ordered because we found the first lot so yum!)
Great place for a coffee & something to go with it. A+ customer service!

The absolute BEST corn eggs benedict with smoked salmon ever!!

5 adults and 1 child dined for breakfast recently and I found the food to be outstanding! The service was great, efficient and friendly.

I enjoyed the food so much that Mozaik Cafe will be the first eatery I go to when I’m back in Hamilton next – a close first with fish and chips! (I live in Brisbane).

I’m going to be in Auckland next month so I looked up Mozaik Cafe in Grafton, and I’ll be having Corn Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon. It better be as good as the Hamilton one – don’t disappoint me!!!

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times with family and friends to eat in and for takeaway orders. The decor is pleasant and the coffee is good.

Eating in:

The tables were dirty and it took ages for a staff member to come and clean them. Although the food is decent, it is over priced. The most annoying thing is that they bring the food out randomly as soon as something is ready, with often a 20min wait between one person’s meal and another person’s meal at the same table. So by that time the first person’s food is cold. They do this even if you have asked to get everyone’s food at the same time.

They offer gluten free options, but when you ask for it they question if you really want it. When you have an allergy, it’s not a question of wanting it but needing it! We certainly don’t have an issue with paying more for it, but I don’t like to be questioned about it. If you don’t like making alterations then don’t offer them on your menu.
The service is average, if you want water at this restaurant you have to basically beg for it. They’ll only fill tiny glasses half way and don’t leave a bottle so you constantly need to ask for a top up which can take a long time for them to get to. It also takes ages to have plates cleared.

Takeaway:

Their coffee is good, as is their cake selection (even including gluten free options), it just takes 20mins+ to get a takeaway coffee made, even a long black.
When we have ordered food takeaway they forgot to put half our order in the bag, even though it took them 40mins to make some simple dishes. When I called them to complain about it they were dismissive and couldn’t offer any solution for this. Not even a simple coffee voucher. Even though this order was well over $50.

This place had such great potential initially, on first sight the menu is interesting and gives lots of options. The restaurant is in a great location, but the service is extremMoreely average and the staff are dismissive and rude at times. There are just too many things that are just not up to standard to ever go back there. Especially considering that there are other restaurants with great service, food and better pricing.

Have been to Mozaik Hamilton many times for Lunch which has always been great. Last night a group of 11 of my friends and I went to dinner there and were so disappointed!!! The staff took forever to take our orders and once our meals were finished forever to clear the plates away….as well as every single one of us who ordered dessert our first choice was unavailable yet when we went to pay the counter was loaded with all of our first choices!!!!! What was most disappointing was this all happened after the owner told us he wanted us to have a 10 out of 10 night…..And when we complained he was very dismissive. Not impressed

Had brunch with 2 teenagers and hubby. Great service even though they were VERY busy. Food tasty, coffee excellent. Definitely go again.

This is my “go to” place to host clients for lunch or simply catch up for a coffee.

It is easy to find and has great parking. The service is very friendly and attentive, but not disruptive. The coffee is “the best” and the food menu is diverse, reasonable and yummy.

Highly recommended
