We really enjoyed our dinner at this pub. The head staff (owner, I think?) was extremely friendly and entertained us with stories about the history of the pub and offered extra information to help us in ordering our food. Although it was rather quiet (it was a Sunday night after all) – dining in front of the fireplace didn’t give us that ‘deserted pub feel’ – the atmosphere was warm and cosy. We had the steak and Sunday pot roast – they were both tasty and served in adequate proportions. They were also very generous with the sauce for both the steak and pot roast – so that was a nice welcome (as pot roast can be a wee bit dry). We’ll definitely return to this quaint lil irish pub with more friends some day!

If you after decent, reasonable priced food then this is the place to go. Friendly staff are only too happy to answer your questions and nothing seems too much trouble. Food was fantastic, generous portions and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the sea food chowder served in s bread bowl it was delicious and filling.
Well worth a visit

If you want honest down to earth food then this is the place.
My husband and I just wanted a pleasant night out without breaking the budget. Jim had the Beef & Guinness Hotpot which he devoured with gusto even pinching some of my chips to mop up all the gravy. My Fish of the Day was as expected, the fish was cooked well, the salad was adequate and the chips were crisp and golden.
The service was fast and friendly.
We will return.
