Murphy’s Law Irish Bar, is located at 505 Main Street in Palmerston North, just 500m from the Square (centre of the city).
Our kitchen runs from opening through to 9pm every day. We offer a wide range of foods from light bar snacks through to hearty lunches and dinner mains. Some of our fantastic deals on offer are 2 for 1 mains on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or our $3 breakfast weekends from 10am-3pm. Murphy’s Law also serves fresh Guinness and Kilkenny from the tap.
We have live bands most weekends, which travel from all over the lower North Island to play at our bar. With awesome, genuine bar staff with prompt and professional service, we make sure that you have a great night. Just a tip – get in early to beat the queues in the weekends because this bar goes off!
If you need to break away from the party scene, escape up stairs to our secluded gaming lounge where you can sit and relax or even try your luck with the gaming machines, with a jackpot that must be won at $1000.
For the sport lovers, we play all of the major sporting events on our plasmas and big screen, so come in and join the atmosphere of the big game.
So whether you are in for a quiet beer and a bite to eat, or in with your staff for an after five drink, or maybe, you are here with your friends to party the night away, just remember Murphys Law

Usually really enjoy Murphys, especially the $2 brunch.

This time however, the bar maid was clearly hung over, disinterested, letting used dishes pile up ALL over the bar, making personal phone calls (while delivering food might I add). Also continued to help herself to coffees and other drinks from the bar – to rehydrate I imagine

Standard has really slipped since new management took over.

me and my friends used to always go for brunch on the weekends after a night out. pay $2 for your eggs on toast( scrambled, poached or fried) then they have a whole lot of other things you can add for a few dollars each( mushrooms, pancakes, baked beans, spaghetti, hash browns, bacon, sausages etc) good cheap food, dont go to late though or you might find yourself waiting quite a while. one time wen we went we were a lil late ad the place was quite full so we waited over an hour for our breaky

Great Place, and it is true what they say, it is Palmy’s best kept secret. Loads of $10 mains to choose from, beef burger is huge, to big to finish. My wife had the Rump which for $10 we thought would be tiny, although no, this thing was massive, and it looked as tasty as my burger, she said it was great. Heaps of other options on the menu to, probably will be making it a weekly stop from now on. Especially with all the different specials they have on through out the week. I read something about a $2 brunch on the weekends too, not sure what thats about but for $2 going to go in a check it out for sure!
