A friend and I had dinner at Muse on Allen last night and were very impressed with the experience. Our waitress was friendly, had great knowledge about the wines available and very patient with us (we took awhile to place orders as we were too busy talking!).

Our meals were amazing – we had the duck breast and the porcini risotto. Beautifully cooked with lots of flavour and very well presented.

The desserts were equally amazing – the creme brulee with tiny doughnuts on the side were gorgeous. I really liked the chocolate fondant with coconut and sorbet – appreciate the skill in preparing such fantastic dishes!

What a brilliant evening! Well done Team Muse! :) :)

My friend and I had a lovely evening over the weekend and had what I would say as a 5 star meal with fantastic service , we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. I would highly recommend Muse on Allen as a fine dining experience and i know I will definitely be returning to taste more of the wonderful menu and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere …… Long story short if you want something special that you can’t find any where else then this is the place to be.

We enjoyed ourselves but the review is definitely mixed. The wine list was really not up to a very good bistro. There was not a good range of selections in most varieties.

The food was mixed. There were no fresh oysters and the tempura oysters were in a heavy breading and overcooked – perhaps deap fried. The lamb shank croquettes in pea soup was a very good. The beef was OK but not select beef and the beef cheek pie was a bit of a joke. The Porcini mushroom risotta was very good.

The service was definitely mixed. We were going to order dessert but the waitress never came back to take our order after 20 minutes so we gave up and paid the bill. There were several poor wait events such as spilling water on the table and serving us course that we did not order that were obviously intended for another table.

This was our first visit and I doubt that we will return. There is definitely need for some better management.

We had our work Christmas Lunch (30 people) at Muse on Allen on Friday 7 December. The restaurant staff were excellent to deal with; nothing was too much trouble. They closed the restaurant for us and allowed us to decorate and play Xmas games. They adapated the menu to suit our budget. The food was excellent – the portions were well sized. The desserts were to die for. All in all a great experience!

Many of the staff are saying that they will be returning with their partners/family for future dining.

We went there on 10 November for our wedding anniversary and really enjoyed our experience. Husband had the scallop entree, slow-cooked pork and choc dessert. I had the pork belly entree, duck, and creme brulee – all delicious! The service was efficient and we liked the ambience – tables not too close, unobtrusive background music and not too formal. We’ll be back!

Had an amazing meal on a Tuesday night. Love the decor. I had the lamb and it melted in my mouth. Would recommend it! The dessert was amazing. The little home made chocolates servered with bill were a nice touch to end a lovely evening. Wait staff knew what they were talking about and were nicely presented.

We went there on a recent evening on the recommendation of earlier reviews, and yes, the food was very good and sensibly priced. The duck main was particularly nice. While I would recommend the food, I think we picked a bad night. The service was disappointing, our plates were cleared at great haste before one of us had finished our meal, we had to ask twice for wine we had ordered, coffee was brought to the table before dessert rather than with, or after, which was a little odd and we were left feeling somewhat deflated by the experience. Would I recommend it? Yes and no.

We went there after a function where we had some wine tasting and canapes. So we went straight for the duck as our main, and the fondant afterwards. The duck was beautifully cooked and presented. The fondant (coulant?) was heavenly! Service was excellent.

Absolutely fantastic. Did the degustation menu tonight and I could not fault it. Each course was delicious, the waitresses knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Could not decide which course I liked more the Tuna, the lamb or the beef. I will be returning most definitely and will be recommending it to all my friends and family.

After years of procrastination to do degustation and seeing a promotion my wife bought a deal voucher for Muse’s Degustation menu.
Delightful would be an understatement.
Although I am not a fan of Oyster my wife enjoyed a couple of oyster which she said were delicious. My Favourite was the beef.
I would most happily pay full price for this menu and can only encourage those who have not had degustation to go to this restaurant for a simply wonderful experience. The service was great and we will most definitely be returning.

Had dinner at Muse last night. The restaurant is simply beautiful, welcoming and intimate. The entree of oysters were absolutely divine! We tried the duck breast and mushroom risotto and they were perfect. We had chocolate fondant and creme brulee for dessert and it was just the icing on top. Would definitely dine here again. Friendly staff and the food was well worth the price. Cheers to Muse!

Me and my partner went to Muse Restaurant on a Wednesday evening. When we stepped inside our first thoughts about the restaurant was that it’s very fresh looking, beautiful and very welcoming. The waitress girl who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful. We’ve tried the duck breast and the chef’s recommendation the lamb. The presentation, texture and the flavours of the food were just perfect. So excellently cooked and tenderised. Heavenly tasty. We cannot wait to come back and try the other specialities from the menu. We recommend this restaurant for everybody! It’s also great in price. We couldn’t stop talking about the food on the way home :) It was that good. But not just the food, the wine (we had Rose) was excellent also. Well done on this great new restaurant. We’ll come back for sure! :)

We went to dinner on Friday evening – a group of three of us and had heard that Muse was opening.
From the outset, the food was spectacular. We tried three different entrees; scallops, belly pork and duck pate with homemade bread. The flavours were well balanced and the presentation was stunning – with the duck pate served in a jar topped with a port jelly and served on a black slate “plate”.
The mains were also very good, duck breast with a confit leg, sous vide fillet of beef and a stunning rump of lamb.
For dessert creme brulee (perhaps the only thing we didn’t enjoy as much as the other dishes which hit all the top notes), a kaffir lime infused chocolate fondant (WOW) and a delicious pineapple dish – this is a simple explanation – but the cooking skills and techniques were anything but.
This quality of food for a very reasonable price – we can’t wait to go again.
