Excellent Thai dishes from a charming and friendly staff. Ideal for two to run away from the city, but still close to the core. Family occasions would benefit from the place as well.
Takeaway is done within 20 minute, with a glance of the restaurant type serving.

Huge fan – great Thai cuisine, friendly and caring staff – really reasonably priced and all round fantastic. We don’t live in Hataitai anymore but will drive the distance for the food!!!! Highly recommend.

I have tried Tom Kha Gai at every country I have been to around the world (42 so far – including Thailand) and I have NEVER had Tom Kha Gai that is as good as Aranya makes it. It is to die for.

We regularly do takeaways or eat in – so regularly they know our names 
Best Thai in Wellington in my opinion, and the staff are just lovely. Have tried much of the menu, although mostly go for the stir fries. Highly recommended. Always very busy on a Friday night.

BEST Thai in Wellington…by far!!!
They are always consistent at Nakhon Thai and when you go here you know you’re going to get authentic Thai that is sooooo delicious every time! Very welcoming with great service if you sit down for a meal and always friendly when you pop in to pick up a take-away! They have a wide range of dishes to suit anyone. I recommend you try Nakhon Thai for yourself and you will see fantastic this little restaurant in Hataitai really is.

Best Thai in NZ by far! Amazing! Fresh, fragrant and delicious! Tofu was cooked to perfection, small pieces were nice n crispy on outside n chewy on the inside, a vegetarians dream! Red Curry was lovely, rich, creamyand full of flavour.

Was recommended to us so we went here for a friend’s birthday. Was shocked and pleased to discover this little gem in Haitaitai.
Excellent food, more than excellent service, it was so good we tipped the waiter and excellent setting. Parking is freely available too. I guarantee if you go here, you won’t regret it.

We had takeaways from here, very well priced for a big meal. Excellent fast, friendly service. Food was beautiful and some of the best we have had in Wellington, will most certainly revisit.

As many have said, very friendly service and they offer amazing, authentic flavors. The raving reputation that proceeds them is well-founded.

Absolutely our favorite place for eating out. Son aged 12 loves the satay with rice and we enjoy sampling all their dishes. Staff always friendly and accommodating. Worth the extra travelling from North Wellington – we were patrons of Aranaya’s Place near the Film Archive prior to its closure.

The best green chicken curry (Thai Hot) in wellington if not New Zealand. The other dishes are pretty good as well and the staff are friendly – just a pity they closed the city branch.

Wellington is a city hard to hard good Thai, so far we have been to about 8 different Thai restaurants in this city and this is by far the best. They use proper spices and herb, not the pastes you could do the same with at home.
