Got shouted at and chased out of Nando’s Riccarton today by a hindu/indian guy claiming he’s the manager :| because my baby brother was eating his own food. (he is just 3 years old) we are eating Nandos except for my baby brother, still got chased out. And wanted to take away the food, he wanted us to wait outside for the food. Very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend eating there. Maybe choose some other Nandos elsewhere.

I’m the owner (or Hindu/Indian guy as you so nicely put it) and I would like to clarify a few things. When I brought your meals out to your table and your brother was eating sushi inside the Nandos restaurant, I said that we didn’t allow food from other…    More »

I love nandos at first i didnt think it was as great as everybody raved about but the more i go there the more i enjoy it . I really like the family feast meals where you can share as its filling and you works out alot cheaper . The chicken is juicy and succulent and the sauces they offer do compliment the flavours .nandos isnt for everybody but is definately a good place to go for a more relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy a good meal (especially if you are like me and love chicken) and not have to worry about being hungry still. good food for good value .

I love Nando’s and I have been to the branches in Australia and the one in Beckenham. I usually have a Chicken Burger and the burger’s are massive and very juicy. I like how you can choose the spiciness of the chicken, usually I can only handle a mild chicken though.

This was my first visit to Nandos – and it will be my last! I had never tried Nandos before, so I didn’t know what to expect (big mistake!). After being seated for what seemed like ages I was perplexed as to why the girl was constantly standing beside the till – and then realised no one comes to attend you at your table! A bit odd really, considering the place looks like a restaurant. So I got up to order at the counter.

I was extremely hungry so decided to order the biggest chicken burger on the menu. I could hardly wait for the burger as the menu described it as ‘two layers of breast chicken on top of each other’.

When it arrived I was massively disappointed. It was so much smaller than I expected. The breast chicken was more like thin strips, layered on top of lettuce and a couple of small slices of tomato. I couldn’t believe this was the biggest burger they had on the menu. I would hate to imagine what a standard burger looks like! It didn’t even have cheese, or bacon, or sauce, or nothing extra. And it cost over $18!!! For that price, I expected two pieces of nice ‘thick’ juicy cut of breast chicken layered on top of each other (as the menu described!). I expected something that would be pretty big and significant! Instead, it was small, the chicken didn’t even taste like it had been marinated for 24 hours like the menu describes, and I was actually still hungry after eating it! An original works burger from KFC for under half the price is ten times better than Nando’s!!!

My advice – don’t go there if you’re hungry or want value for money.
