It seems odd to give a takeaway place five stars, but this place is more than just a regular takeaway place that sells deep-fried crap. They do sell deep-fried crap, and I’m sure it destroys the cook’s soul to do that, but this place also has the best Cantonese BBQ in Hamilton. Probably not *the* best Cantonese BBQ you can find on this planet, but that’s an incredibly high bar for a place that doesn’t even have tables and charges as little as $9 for a whole meal. The biggest problem for this place, and this is true of some many Chinese establishments, is that *real* food is only listed on the menu written in Chinese. If you can’t find a Chinese-speaking friend to go with you, just get rice with BBQ pork, chicken, and duck—you will be pleased. Perhaps with enough non-Chinese people ordering real food, places like this will start to put some effort into translating their menus.
