Nikau Cave and Cafe is less than 90 minutes drive southwest of Auckland, New Zealand. The cave has thousands of glowworms and amazing formations and the cafe has delicious food in an amazing setting.

Stunning surroundings. The Facilities are excellent.
That’s where the good bit ends.
I have been there twice and on both occasions the service was abysmal.
On the first we ordered a Pizza, 45 minutes later it still had not arrived despite enquiring twice why it was taking so long, when it arrived it was swimming in oil, definitely not worth waiting for.
On the second occasion I ordered a simple platter cheese, pear, etc, the food was very nice, but once again it took fore ever to get delivered, which is really not understandable seeing as they didn’t have to do anything apart from cut up a pear some cheese etc… In summary if your not wanting to wait ages for your food don’t go
