Good but semi expensive for lunch. But it’s nice and handy to Lambton Quay, so an easy walk from most places. or bus/car

Four of us turned up for dinner starving on Monday night after riding the Overlander from Auckland. Treated to amazing deal 2 for 1 steak meal which was awesomely delicious. Brad and the staff were amazing – so friendly and helpful. So good that we went back the following night and were treated to half price mains – again excellent tasting meals. Had to go back next morning for breakfast on our last day before heading home. Will definitely be back!

On a hot day (seriously) we were after a joint that we could use our entertainment book. Cant go passed a seafood chowder so we shared the larger version of this and the sirloin steak sandwich. Chowder was heavenly. Much like the bill. Forgot to charge us for the drinks – we told them that and they happily added this to our bill.

We visited for dinner befor Wow, and were happy with out food and service. We let them know we had some time pressures and they were helpful and meals arrived in good time. Good service and food and beer choices are all good pub food.

Food is very good. Service is poor.

Waitress came to our table with our order and managed to drop some of the chicken tenders off the plate. She asked if we wanted them replaced, we went with yes. We never saw her again. Ever.

We had lunch here today. The service was prompt and friendly. Our meals were tasty and great value for money. This is a comfortable watering hole with a great selection of beers on tap.
