REALLY disappointed!
Went for pancake breakfast here on a Saturday morning. The service was good but then the pancakes came out on a white plate with black scuff marks on it. The pancakes were more like crepes, not light and fluffy but thin and dense. The ‘maple’ syrup was brought out but I am fairly sure it was just slightly watered down golden syrup which doesn’t have nearly the same appeal as maple, this i discovered after it had dribbled it all over my crepes… I mean pancakes. At about $14 per breakfast plus coffees I felt that it was money wasted as there wasn’t THAT much on the plate, 3 or 4 crepes.. I mean pancakes, one banana and a couple of rashers of bacon and some watered down maple syrup.
I also might add the the place feels like it could do with a good scrub down, no one likes to have to sit at a table where bit of the last customers food is still there long after the customer has gone.
I feel that Of the Rail has actually gone off the rails, it would seem the days of great food are well and truly gone… Sadly.
