We have been here on several occasions now, we have never had poor service!The food selection on the cold shelf is good also we find the menu has a good selection. We will be back for sure.

The office as a restaurant has consistently managed to disappoint me from a service perspective. The food quality fluctuates, but is often very nice. Unfortunately the food quality is tarnished by its inexperienced wait staff and a general lack of attention to detail. I found the menu somewhat uninspiring and that they had often run out of some of the wines. We were told about a year and a half ago that they had a fantastic new menu coming – at least a year later this still hadn’t arrived – a running joke between my wife and I. Things that specifically frustrated me on our visits include dirty glassware (lipstick), being seated for atleast half an hour with no service, asking for water and receiving a carafe but no glasses, and inattentive wait staff who often seem more interested in conversation with their colleagues than their job – I’ve often had to go to the counter to order top ups or to ask to be served. When entering the place the white linen leads one to expect a level of fine dining, which is often present in the food but missing from the service accompanying it.

Yum! Food was great, but service was a little stiff and atmosphere lacked… I’ll be going back though (:

Excellent restaurant in Kapiti the best by far! Very lovely staff, wonderful chefs that know their food, excellent food and the best coffee this side of Auckland! I am a repeat customer and highly recommend The office cafe. Such a busy place with beatiful views of Kapiti Island. Be sure to book a table to secure your dining as we find they fill up fast. Recommendation: Try Paul’s seafood chowder!!!

The food was excellent and beautifully presented.The service was also very good.So good in fact that we went back next morning for coffee and scones/muffins

Good food but the service left a bad experience and taste. What a shame.

Good service and tasty food. Generous portions too. Will visit again.
