Three of us called in for lunch after a trip to the Government House open day today. We really liked the tables/chairs at the back near the outside area – very swish.
Two of us ordered poached eggs on toast and the third ordered the big breakfast. The big breakfast was very big and apparently the scrambled eggs were delicious.
The poached eggs on toast could have looked a bit better but tasted fine.
I also had strawberry cheesecake for dessert – a recommendation by the very helpful and polite staff member – which was freshly made; it was very quickly devoured!
Overall, a successful lunchtime sojourn.

Have been to this place quite often as Mum is in Hospital, me and my sister ate their for lunch today we paid $17.00 for chips and chicken tenders.
When we got the Chicken Tenders there were only 3, so we said is that all we get and yep that’s all you get. Not value for money.
chips were okay but they forgot the Aoili Sauce until we said something.
Disappointed in the price.

My friend was in hospital recently for some testing, and as she’s allergic to gluten and was hungry, a nurse pointed out that The Office Bar & Cafe, which is just down the road, sells alot of Gluten Free goodies. So off I went! My first impression was of a cute little pub with alot of character. I noticed the food cabinet straight away as it was full of great looking food and was very eye catching. The lady from the kitchen came over as she saw me looking, and told me all about the gluten free options I could choose from – and boy were there alot! I couldn’t decide between the gluten free pea and feta fritters (that were bigger than my fist!)or the gluten free cookies, cakes and slices. Even gluten free pies were available. I ended up getting the fritters and a kremalta slice which both recieved rave review from my friend!
I may turn gluten free myself after seeing that food!
