Worse meal ever!

Glass of red wine so deteriated it was undrinkable, this was replaced with a white wine. Tom Yum soup modified flavour bore no resemblance to traditional food, finished it but not enjoyed. Pad Thai Noodles sticky mess, and contained some sweet sugar syrup – inedible. and smelly. Nice decor, but wont be back.

Thai food done really well and great service, nice environment. Top end thai restaurant, bit more classy than some. The food is chef quality, meat cooked perfectly and nice quality meat too. Clean toilets, BYO which is handy. good parking.

This used to be our best Thai Restaurant ever. We haven’t been there for a while and things have changed for the worse. Entrees okay but flaming chicken just horrible. So disappointing because we had really been looking forward to it. Glass of wine didn’t come until re-requested and same for “special tasty Thai salad” which was in no way Thai. The chicken was undercooked and then hacked off the bone by the waitress. The flavour was awful. Sorry, we won’t be going back.

Came here for the first time on my anniversary last month, we went for pretty safe options for a first time, chicken pad thai & satay beef shared between my husband and I, the chicken pad was yum but noodles a little more rubbery than others that I’ve tried? Maybe this is the authentic way so just not what I’m used to- but stil really yum. But the satay was just AMAZING, best I’ve tasted easily. The decor was neat and the kids on the table next to us enjoyed the big fish tank and seemed well doted on by the staff So I would feel happy to bring my kids here next time. Touring past the kitchen and somebody ironing table cloths to get to the toilet was a bit unusual! But I guess you can’t do much about that without renovating and atleast the loo was well away from where u eat. I agree with other reviewers that its a bit more expensive than other thai restaurants, but we enjoyed our evening and the food so would pay it again.

Food was ok, but I would say its expensive for what you get. Service seemed a little strange as well!

Very disappointing. I ordered to take away. Paid 20 dollars for a few slices of chicken with few chunks of tomatoes and onions. Not worth it. Would not recommend.

Good food, but not the best, price is on the high side.

I’ve been coming here for around a year now and i have never been disappointed! I am always comparing my visits to other Thai places to the Orchid Thai. I am yet to find a better place! The food is just amazing

Great Decor, Great Service, Stunning food.

We have been eating here for four years now, ths staff are really good especially with our little girl. The food is excellent and the service is quick.

We have tried nearly every Thai Restaurant in Auckland and this is certainly our favourite. Keep up the great work April.

The previous entry was incorrect. Rice is only $1.0 extra per person. Not sure where the $4.5 came from

An amazing experience all round.

Just read the menu carefuly as we got caught out being charged an extra $4.50 EACH for a serving of rice and I only had half a serving.

Apart from that, will deffinatley go back.

Great food (Prawns in coconut cream…yum) and great service with friendly people!!! A bit too expensive to visit often though!

Frequent Orchid Thai; food and atmosphere is fabulous!! Battered crispy prawns are the best I’ve had!
