I have travelled around Mexico for two years so I think I am qualified to say that this was the best burrito in New Zealand, by far. It was amazing, ready within 5minutes, really just could not get enough of it. That burrito was good, but it was filling.

Maybe they were just having a bad day (Thursday lunch time, they were very busy). But flat out gross is the best way to describe the burrito I had from this place. Stone cold slop is also a pretty good description. Are they supposed to be cold? Why wrap it in foil if nothing on the inside is heated up? The only passable thing about it was the guacamole, and even that wasn’t enjoyable to eat as it was ALL at one end (the end I started at) so my first 10 bites (this thing is huge) were of straight mashed avocado. Then as the rest of the fillings emerged – cold brown meat of some description, yellow grainy mush I expect was cheese, uncooked green peas, cold grey rice.. It was not pretty. Not pretty at all.

I’m a bit undecided about this place.

I’ve only ever eaten the burrito and quesadilla, both which taste declicious! However, it is a bit pricey for the little amount of meat you get (in the quesadilla). Would only recommend eating the burrito (steak) as it tastes the best.

Unfortunately, there is one ingredient in the burrto (im not sure what it is, but it tastes bitter and foul) and ruins the meal when i get to it (usually near the end). And, when I was placing an order over the phone, they couldn’t speak english! I had to ask 5 times if they accept eftpos when using delivery services and they said yes, when we made our order and asked them once more just in case, they said NO and requested we give them our credit card number over the phone!!!

Would be so great to give them a nice review but the few times we have been there they have taken forever, made wrong orders etc. Tonight we went and all 4 staff ignored us – (and another 2 people there who just walked out) not even a hello or acknowledging that we were waiting and that they would be with us shortly. We gave up after a few minutes of standing there awkwardly and walked out. Terrible customer service.
Would rather go to Mexicali or the new place Mexico around the corner.

You’d think this place is a franchise and they’d be at least 5 restaurants in Auckland through it’s cookie cutter appearance but the quality is actually great. Reasonably priced burritos for the huge serving sizes and everything is fresh and flavorsome American ‘Tex-Mex’ style. I recommend the juicy LA style spinach burrito or Palm Springs grilled chicken, which come with tasty salsas, Mexican rice and black beans. If I worked in the CBD I’d be here at least once a week, the only shame is there’s not much place to sit down and enjoy.

The burritos from this takeaway are tasty and massive! I managed to eat half for a light lunch and had the rest for dinner, and found it very filling. There can be a bit of a queue at lunchtime but service is actually quite quick. Only issue is that there is no place to sit down and eat.

So good! The portion sizes are huge value for money, especially for the taco salad. Awesome staff and the range of Mexican sodas really complement a beef burrito perfectly. My only qualm being that the corn tacos are quite tough and slightly leaning towards the chewy, stale side, but otherwise, everything else is perfect.
