Best Thai Restaurant in Hamilton. We take out and dine in at The Original Thai often, in fact going there tonight! Authentic flavours, friendly attentive staff, lovely atmosphere. Always great Thai!

Great Food. We are never let down by the taste and we have tried alot of different Thai places. Were recommended this place by a friend and it has since proved a great place to go. The head waitress is just so nice and makes you feel so welcome. Our first choice when out for Thai or even when we can’t decide where to go. The decor is very traditional and the staff wear traditional dress which is a neat thing to see these days. Its a place you can relax and feel comfortable in.

We have tried many of the Thai restaurants in Hamilton and been very disappointed in all but this restaurant. We love their pad thai which is always fresh and delicious without being overly oily which we found others to be in the area. They are reasonably priced and always friendly & courteous. Highly recommend!

No a bad meal but food was staged (and there were only 8 of us)5 minutes between 1st and last dish.
One chicken stir fry came out without chicken, had to return it to have chicken added.
Also they charged for extra rice without telling us that you have to pay for a refil, never had that happen before especially when the rice dishes are tiny.
Ok but we prefer Thai Village

Eat at this restaurant regularly and can recommend it for good Thai food in the traditional sense – decor think plastic flowers and traditionally dressed wait staff. Their crispy duck dish is delicious. Recently had lunch here and was disappointed at the significantly parred down menu which was a bit dull.

I dine at O.T often both in house and takeaway.Best Thai in the TRON I rekon. Fresh and tasty food is used and cooked quickly & presented looking amazing.I took 25 friends there for my birthday and all but 1 loved it.(He doesn’t do spicy and wanted butter chicken)
All my friends have been back except 1(butter chicken boy).Some issues can arise and I found it is mainly the language barrier, but staff have always been polite and friendly when this happens and rectify the problem quickly. I love the atmosphere and the traditional clothes the staff wear. It’s BYO 2 & there aren’t many of those left. I’m just heading there now to pick up a Sunday Takeaway of Angel wings, crispy BBQ honey duck and pork fried rice. yummy

I have dined at the Original Thai restaurant quite a few times. They have the best tasting thai food in Hamilton. Staff was great, food is absolutely delicious,very aromatic and tasteful. If you love Thai food then this is the place to go.
