can you please put your opening hours somewhere on your door and on your website? Every time I go to Paasha it is closed and it’s beginning to get annoying.

Ordered the $18 vegetarian mezze platter, and received maybe $8-9 worth of food.

I am completely sick of restaurants that think they can snub vego meal people with cheap alternatives and half-size meals at full prices. That’s called theft in my book.

Here’s what I got for my $18: ONE piece of bread, ONE (single) olive (yes honestly), ONE dessertspoon of olive paste and hummus, one tiny (little finger sized) dolmade, one small falafel (cut in halves to make it look like I got more) and one vegetable ball, likewise cut in half with rice.

The food was okay but greasy. Looking at what my meat-selecting companion got for the same price, I received less than half as much. Even his looked greasy and undercooked (still bleeding).

I’m not a vegetarian but I do like to choose vego from time to time, and DON’T like to be shafted when I do choose a veg option. Paasha’s will not be seeing me back again.

Constantly Great!

We get takeaways from Paasha and our meals always taste delicious and fresh.

We like it how Paasha is willing to make changes to the environment and menu! They have friendly staff who seem to enjoy their jobs!

We would recommend Paasha!

Paasha is by far the best Turkish Restaurant we have experienced out of Turkey. A trip to Dunedin is never complete without at least one visit to Pasaha, have taken away more than eaten in but either way the food is fantastic, always have a donar kebab meat is always so flavoursome and the sauces just complete the dish. What would be awesome is if they good get some of the Pavilion Gluten Free Pitas, so that they could cater for the Gluten Free customers such as my partner, although are accommodating and quiet happily do Gluten free just without the bread.

The food was very tasty but I think it was way overpriced and you didnt get a big portion, a bit if extra bread and a bit more rice would have been great for over $20 for a main.

Our first night out for 2011. Decided to re-visit Paasha – good choice. Exactly like the last time. Great service and good food. The place was busy and humming with a mix of couples and groups all being catered for in a very professional and friendly manner – well done you guys. Great service – a good start to the night. We will be back.

When I was a student and lived near by I would call in once a week. I was always warmly welcomed with smiles and chit chat. The hummus was always so tasty and meat very tender.
More recently my partner and I shared a platter for two and it was an absolute feast! Generous, varied portions and lots of things I would have not normally have tried which made it interesting and exciting. I would recommend this for a couple or two or three friends (there would be more than enough for three people!)

Paasha is and will always be my fav restaurant. That’s why I’m sad to say that it has lost it’s great intimate ambience with the renovations. The last time I was in the service was terrible: sullen hungover waitresses, delayed coffee and cheesy western music instead of the the cool Turkish music they always used to play. I want the old Paasha back.

PAASHA is my favourite ever Restaurant. When I lived in Dunedin I went once or twice every week and always ordered Chicken Shish and never got tired of it. Now I live in Auckland and all the Middle Eastern / Turkish places are so disappointing in comparison. PAASHA, I miss you! ;-( I will be back soon.

I went to Paasha with my fiance for Valentines Day and we both agreed that it was one of the best dining experiences that we have had. I feel qualified to say that it is probably the best restaurant in Dunedin, as we eat out often due to our busy schedules. The waiter was fantastic, ensuring that we were enjoying our meals. I never once had to ask for a refill of my drink, he was very attentive without intruding. The food was fantastic, absolutely amazing, a real delight for my taste-buds. I would not hesitate in recommending this place to anyone and often it is the first place I mention to people who ask me.

Top job Paasha, we will definitely be back.

We were visiting NZ from Australia and happened to come across Paasha Resturant, with 6 kids in tow we were delighted by the service, the food and the atmosphere.
We were treated like VIP guests and our children ages 2 years to 13 years were spoilt with hopsiality.

We used to be regulars at Paasha as the food was excellent but last year was seriously overcharged and when I questioned it the proprietor/owner tried to make out it was a mistake. There was no way it was a mistake when I asked to see the bill!! He obviously knew he was trying to rip us off as he tried to push on us free turkish delight. I was going to go to complain to consumer to ascertain my rights. I still might. However the food is yummy although portions have decreased significantly and it is nearly twice the price for the same meal. The food is still good but beware the price you are charged

good food. however i was with a medium sized group function and as soon as we had finished our meal the waiter came over and asked if we wanted dessert, we said no, so he asked us to leave as he needed the tables! which we had booked in advance..

One of my mates introduced Paasha to me one Saturday last year. Now its a weekly tradition – Wednesday night takeaway. I always get the chicken doner with halep sauce and Paasha’s special sauce. I find that a small doner is plenty for lunch… and the large is more than enough for dinner. If you dine in, you also get side salads which totally make the meal.
Only issue is lack of parking.. but thats expected in the Dunedin CBD.

This is one of THE Best restaurants I have EVER eaten at and certainly the best in Dunedin, hands down. Their Shish and Tapenade are both mouth-watering!

Paasha is a Dunedin institution, and if you’ve ever been to Dunedin and not dined out here (or had takeaway) you are totally missing out.

Their famous doner or shish kebabs are outrageously yummy.
