Paasha Turkish Cafe has finnaly launched in the heart of Hamilton City.
Paasha Turkish Cafe is famous for its delicious, fresh Turkish food and Mezze plates.

Zeki Bay began his career as a restaurateur in Istanbul, Turkey. After he moved to England in the late 1980s, he started two Turkish restaurants, one in the East End of London and the second in Islington, London.
Both restaurants were sold at the height of their popularity and are still operating successfully today – providing their winning formula.

He then moved to New Zealand and established Paasha Turkish Cafe & Takeaway in Dunedin in 1997 bringing his unique eating experience to Dunedin.

Paasha was and still is very successful, building a large clientèle of regular customers from all over the South Island. Paasha won numerous awards and was voted “Best Ethnic Restaurant in the South Island for 2002″ by North and South Magazine. Paasha operated for 10 years under Zeki and his wifes management, it was sold in 2007 and is still a Dunedin favourite today.

Since their arrival in Auckland in early 2008 they have opened Paasha Turkish Cafe and Takeaway, 245 King St, Pukekohe which has become a firm favourite with the locals and is operating successfully today.

Zeki and his brother Murat has now brought Paasha to Hamilton City, using the same logo and interior design that has given all their previous cafes a unique atmosphere and Mediterranean feel. One of the main taste features of Paasha is the “Ocakbasi”, an indoor open fire which gives a wonderful aroma to the marinated meats.

Four of us enjoyed an excellent dinner at Paasha last night. The Lamb & Chicken Shish all came with a beautiful taboulah, fresh green salad & home made pitas. Lovely blend of flavours & spices, backed up by a very good wine list (The Ned Sav & Mt Difficulty wines . . yum). Really impressed with the excellent service. At $140 for dinner & drinks for 4 adults we were really impressed. We’ll definately be back!

Enjoy this restaurant very much. Great service, and menu.
Decor also very pleasant. The Mezze plate is really tasty, and well enough for two people.

I had lunch at Paasha last week with a couple of colleagues. I enjoyed it so much I have already been back again this week for takeaways. The food is amazing, the service is good and its very reasonably priced. Definitely one of my favourite places to eat in Hamilton!

My friend and I went to try this new place for lunch today. We went into the restaurant and could see staff in the kitchen bit (who also saw us) – then they all seemed to go behind the kitchen wall and noone came out to seat/serve us. After waiting a bit longer there was still noone to help us so we had to walk out. Hopefully it is just due to the place being new and getting sorted. The menu does sound nice – so will try again another day.

Before today I would have rated Paasha 4 Stars Plus. The Service was again great. However the food I was serviced was extremely disappointing. It was cold, didn’t have a very large number of the elements that it had the previous 4 times I have enjoyed it. My wife’s food was fine, warm and inviting.
Mine was dreadful: cold, fish that should not have been served, dry cold bread,my thoughts go on. I would have prefered to email this to them directly. However couldn’t find any link this to this.
A restaurant I thought was really good has really disappointed. Its consistence and quality checks and standards have really let it down.

Tried here a few weeks ago for lunch. Was delicious! I had the pita, lovely and fresh and very big for $12. Staff were good although not overly quick to come back and see if we wanted more drinks, we had to track her down, other people also waited a little while to order. Will be back for sure, they do take out kebabs and burgers too.
