Great food and fantastic friendly service. The tapas are delicious (we had the beef belly, wagyu mini burgers, risotto of the day and lamb koftas – our favourite was the risotto), and the chocolate brownie dessert was amazing. Thanks for a very enjoyable meal!

Fantastic service ! Went on Saturday brunch, greeted by the door with biggest smile by manager (possibly owner).Lady run around to find us the best & warmest table available at the time as they were extremely busy.Packed everywhere inside+outside.Considering how busy they were . Coffee came in minutes and food arrived on time with a smile again. Both very yummy.
Definitely recommend Papermoon Mairangibay .I heard dinners are very busy too, we been told to make a booking, cant wait to try their tapas.

A beautiful spot for family lunch.

I phoned ahead to book, and when we got there they’d set us up in the sunshine outside as requested, and thoughtfully organised a highchair all ready-to-go for our two year old.

Chicken & Avocado Salad was absolutely delicious. The service was really helpful (and when I asked for a ‘lite’ version of the salad, our waitress helpfully suggested they leave off the noodles and serve the dressings separately on the side). It came with beautifully tender and flavoursome grilled chicken breast, with avocado, capsicum, curled green onion, on tossed green leaves. Yum. Great coffee too.

Will definitely come again.

We went (twice recently)to the street cafe part of Paper Moon. Best scones in Auckland! Coffee is usally OK, but we did have a couple of bitter ones. Best range of smoothies I’ve seen in a while – very tasty too! Friendly counter service and reasonably quick delivery of everything ordered. Would be 5 star if the coffee was a tad better.

My lunch was lovely. I had a cajun chicken sandwich and the chicken was perfect albeit a bit pink which worried me.. the chutney and bun was perfect, thought it could have used a little more salad. The chips were oily but tasted okay. My mother’s meal however dropped my rating down, she paid $25 for two tiny pieces of fish (almost fish bites) that tasted frozen, overcooked and greasy. She found two bones in the fish and her chips were also greasy. However the customer service was good and they refunded her meal.

went for dinner with a pregnant girlfriend in her 8th month, she who work’s in the food industry said this chicken looks uncooked we complained to waitress told it was pink chicken but they would put it under the grill again.

Came back still uncooked in parts, when paying bill we again mentioned uncooked chicken this time we were told it was the range of chicken that was like that.

Council health department come and picked up a sample then confirmed uncooked,Restaurant have been given some instructions on how to cook chicken including taking it temperature.

Owner told council that they would refund the money for that 1 main that meal was in November its near the end of December still waiting.

It is dangerous for pregnant women to eat uncooked chicken which we pointed out while we were at restaurant baby was a girl and real pretty too

We’ve been going to this cafe regularly for the past 6 years and just love it. The food is consistently of a high standard, service is efficient and friendly and the coffee is great. We have yet to find a cafe to beat this for quality and value for money.

Went for dinner on a Sunday night. The place was fairly busy, but with just one wait staff member the service was very slow with little individual attention. The waitress mumbled and rushed through the specials so we didn’t even catch what they were. The food was tasty and we were all reasonably happy with our meals, (though why they’d serve pork fillets that you have to cut up in a bowl is beyond me). The meals were also reasonably small portions (the steak and chips came with 3, abeit large, chips!). I don’t think having a cafe/bar with a tv going in the background works very well when you want to have a nice sit down dinner as it is not a well separated or large space. For the price I think I’d probably go somewhere else but it isn’t terrible.

We were so disappointed by our evening to celebrate a 40th birthday. The manager, who was there with friends, (not working), had two screaming young children (and it was 9.00pm when we got there). The table next to us asked politely if they could be a little quieter (mains are $30 ish so not a Lonestar environment expectation, especially at this hour). Anyway, the manager approached our table and abused us for complaining – he was clearly intoxicated – and asked my partner to ‘wipe the smirk off his face’ – when we politely let him finish and told him it was the table next to us – he in turn ‘banned’ the lovely table of four from next to us. It was quite unbelievable and the staff were so lovely and apologetic. I can’t believe the owners of Paper Moon have employed such the manager to ruin the fantastic reputation of this place, food, waiter/floor staff team. He has to go surely!

This is simply the finest cafe and bar on the shore. Been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have always had the best experience. Food is yummy and the service is so friendly and quick. When are you openning one closer to me in Silverdale?

Best coffee (allpress) in Mairangi Bay. Cafe out front, deli/takeaway on side round facing north for sun.
Food is always good during the day, and dinner is excellent.

Awesome food – bad service – the food is so good though – I’ve had lunch, dinner and dessert there and everything was great – apparently the coffee is good too (I don’t drink it so I wouldn’t know)
