This is an excellent resource for parents with kids.
The cafe is great – friendly staff, great coffee, great sushi. Not a huge range of food, but what is there is great.
In addition, they sell books on parenting, run seminars, have a sofa area to meet friends, a kids area, etc, etc.
Parking can be tough sometimes, but it’s walking distance from the Countdown carpark.

This cafe has to be the best half strength lattes in town, clean modern atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Very upmarket and serene on your senses, beats noisy bustly dirty cafes anyday:) I like clean so I can actually eat my food unlike most cafes in Auckland:(Parkings hard but I usually use Countdowns parks and walk up only a block away.

The Parenting Place Cafe is clean and bright with big windows, lots of tables and a pretty water feature. The staff are great. I like to meet here with a friend for consistently good coffee (even decaf with soy is excellent!) and inexpensive, fresh snacks. Kids are welcome here – their gleeful sounds are not frowned upon.

The Parenting Place does the best coffee I have had in Auckland! It is a spotlessly clean, relaxed setting and the bookshop is awesome! Great place to meet friends, just relax, or take the kids for an outing.

I believe the parenting place is a fantastic place to dine at. I had the pleasure of dining there in January 2010. I loved the atmosphere the variety of activity happening around me and of course the food is divine. The staff are friendly and welcoming and are willing to help in any given situation.I highly recommend the parenting place cafe. A bonus is there is lots of things to do with the children, but you will need to experience it for yourself.

I go there often so know that the coffee is consistantly good. The service is top notch, and the staff are great – very professional, but friendly and helpful too.

I quite often grab a Chai Latte or hot chocolate from here. There Chai Latte’s are the best I have tasted in a long time. The service is always wonderfully friendly, the couches are super comfy and the food and drinks are YUM!
What’s more it is all so reasonably priced.
Fantastic! Love it!

I love to drop in for a hot chocolate and meet up with friends who also have kids. Yummy chocolatey treats and muffins. Comfy couches and beanbags too.
I’ve also found this place to be an amazing source of info on parenting, and have gone along to a number of their workshops.
