Parnells have impressed us over the last year and the thing we have noticed is the consistency of both service and food. Their coffee is excellent -always strong , rich and creamy. The secret seems to be the quality of staff, other eateries in town often throw a junior on the coffee machine to ‘fill in’. This offends the serious coffee consumers amongst us as this is an integral part of the cafe experience. Parnells have efficient , smiling , friendly staff who can move a queue of people through rapidly and provide an outstanding dining experience. Not the cheapest in town but very good value for money.

The best breakfast we’ve had in a very long time. Really fresh ingedients, beautifully cooked. The salmon benedict was incredible – big thick piece of salmon fillet, seared and served hot under eggs perfectly cooked and topped with what tasted like home-made hollandaise. Coffee was great too. We’re unashamedly picky (hubby is a chef), but couldn’t find fault here!
