New owners have made this place great. Yum food, good service, good coffee. Nice place to chill in the weekends.

Went today for lunch after a work out at the millenium up the hill, food is yummy and healthy, good prices, coffee divine. Service very attentive. A new regular!

I do not recommend the food in the cabinet. What I purchased tasted like it had sat there for too long. Looked nice, good price, but didn’t taste good, maybe spoiled? It had a funny taste. I tried to change it, they were not accommodating at all. Very disappointing, will not be returning.

Went there for lunch on a weekday. I ordered the omelette, which was ruined by too much cheese. I wouldnt normally say that about cheese, but this amount just ruined the meal.
My partner’s burger bun was stale. But the filling inside was tasty.

We had breakfast here on the weekend. Was suprised how quiet it was. Coffee was very nice and hot . The food was very tasty and a good size. Service was prompt and friendly. Value for money was excellent, but we used a voucher from the entertainment guide. Would come here again if we lived out this way.
We too were also underwhelmed by Pickles. We dined for lunch during the weekend. My nachos were burnt, and unappealing with dry beans. $7 for a tiny milkshake was a bit of a rip off as well. My husband did enjoy his BLT.
The place has such potential, but it just lacks polish. You can read a full review with photos at http://celestereviews….

I went for lunch at Pickles on Apollo about 1pm on Saturday, the place was dead quite. Which didn’t bother me until my food came out and then I understood why. The smoked salmon and pesto bagel was quite revolting, the amount of pesto I got was less than 1/2 a teaspoon. And the salmon had a strange taste about it. I told the waitress who said she’d pass the comment onto the chef. Hmmmm.
The coffee was good and the wireless was helpful but that’s about all I can say.

Prebooked Saturday 25 July 2009 brunch for 9 people. Excellent food which was more than ample size-wise, excellent service from a happy smiling waitress. Great experience for everyone. Thanks.
Pickles on Apollo is far from what it used to be. I have had below average service on more than one occasion and with so many other cafe type places in the area you’d would be better to steer clear.

Was recommended to try this place and went on Saturday for brunch at 10a.m. It was not open and the poor staff were waiting outside had no idea what was happening. Several customers came and went.
