We ate here over the weekend for my husbands birthday. I had emailed them before hand and they were really helpful. The service when we got there was also excellent. We had the lobster and oysters, they were both delicious. The location is really nice, book to get a seat outside!

Over the past year have twice enjoyed eating at Pier 19. The restaurant sits on the late so the view is quite simply staggering.
On the food and wine list – both highly enjoyable and at prices that attract locals as well as visitors.
Service was very friendly, smooth and unhurried – just the way we like it on holiday

I thought I would write a review about Pier 19, as we had such a fantastic time! The food was to die for including the gorgeous pork belly starter, the wine superb having chosen from the recommended variety by the very knowledgeable friendly waiter. The ambiance was perfect, as well as the constant surprise you kept getting when catching a glimpse of the stunning view of the mountains and lake outside. I look forward to suggesting this restaurant to any of my friends lucky enough to visit Queenstown, a definate highlight of our trip to NZ.

Would not recommend this restaurant as their customer service skills are atrocious. I was unfortunate enough to be served a slug with my salad and while this was a bit icky at the time I was not too stressed about it. However the restaurant did not even offer a discount or the dish for free. We were a table of 8 who are all from the otago region and therefore visit Queenstown regularly and will not be going back and will be recommending that all our friends avoid it also.
